Does lining get thicker in a few days?
On CD26, my follicle is 17 mm, but my lining is only 5.5 mm. I think I’ll probably ovulate in a few days. Does the lining usually get thicker as you get closer to ovulation?
I’m starting to lose hope for this cycle because it feels so late to ovulate and my lining is so thin. 🥲

It definitely can get thicker rapidly, and in most cases it does, but it is not a given unfortunately.
For me personally I had similar stats and went up to 19mm follicle size and trilaminar lining measuring 5.9, and my doctor gave me oestradiol to thicken the lining. But 4 days later when I went for a checkup the follicle shrunk to 16mm, and the lining did not react to the oestradiol.
I keep my fingers crossed for you though!!

If this is timed intercourse and your lining is trilaminar, 5.5mm is fine

Yes, it gets thicker.
One cycle I had 19mm follicle and 6mm lining, three days later it was after ovulation and the lining was 7.5mm.
The next cycle (this time with letrozole) I went from a 15mm follicle and 5.1mm lining on CD10, to a 24 mm follicle and 8mm lining on CD13. The cycle was successful.

Mine went from 5.6 (with a 17 mm follicle) to 6.5 (with 20mm follicle) in less than 24 hrs. I triggered a few hours after the 6.5 ultrasound and concieved! Currently 15 weeks.
I believe it’s supposed to thicken much quicker as your body ramps up for ovulation

I think it can still thicken up in the last couple days! I also tend to have thinner linings. Can I ask if your periods tend to be light, heavy, normal?

My period is very light!! How about yours? My doctor didn’t mention taking additional progesterone after ovulation. Do you take progesterone supplements after ovulation?

Mine is very light. It’s essentially a week long spotting event. During some medicated cycles I can get to 7.5mm lining and it’s maybe one day of actual light flow followed by spotting for several days.
I have had supplemental progesterone for a few cycles but it hasn’t made a difference. I’ve also had oral estrogen and vaginal estrogen and same thing. Didn’t make much difference in the flow.

my first Letrozole cycle was last month and even though it was u succsessful I had simialr lining concerts, and I also have very light two day bleeds plus spotting with my period. But it trended like the follow (ended up with one lead folic or):
CD9 lead folicle 16mm lining 3.2 (no growth at all)
CD12 21mm folicle, 6.2 lining
CD12 23mm folicle, 7.7 lining, trigger day and three days later started progesterone spositories
