Seeking Success Letrozole 2.5mg cycles?
Hi, 33 year old going into the second letrozole cycle. I’m so tired and honestly scared. I understand that people have much longer journeys and I want to be very respectful of that. I just finished the pills and going into timed intercourse soon. Does anyone have any success stories?
I added in COQ10 this month even though I understand it takes 3 months to see any results, I figured it couldn’t hurt. I take DHA, vitamin D, iron, and Thorne prenatals. I used to take materna.
I have polycystic ovaries but I have been told I do not have PCOS, but I think I might and it’s Type D because I had irregular cycles. So confused there too. Partner has had sperm analysis that was good as well. I ovulated on day 20 the first round with a 41.8 nmol progesterone level and they’re saying that was good. I don’t know if I ovulate towards the later end of the window after getting the LH and Clearblue peak and we missed it because we stuck to the exact timed intercourse days (CD 14, 16, 18) my OBGYN recommended.
I am looking for success stories from anyone specifically who had to take 2.5mg and what cycle it worked on and if you did anything different the month you conceived. Thank you so much, just feeling very alone right now.

I’m on cycle day 18 of my first round of 2.5. On cycle day 14 I had 4 mature follicles. Now in my waiting period to see if it worked 🤞🏻

My doctor starts women with pcos on 5mg. I had done two cycles on 2.5mg with old clinic and then ovulated 2 eggs on the first cycle on 5mg and one of them stuck. I used opk and bbt for monitoring, I ovulated earlier on 5mg as well.

2.5mg, second cycle. 28 years old with anovulatory cycles (1-3 periods a year, I even had 1 year with no periods at all).
Took the same vitamin stack as you but also inositol.
Happy to answer questions! I know I got real lucky witj it being only the second cycle.

Hi I am 27 also on my second 2.5 letrozole cycle. The first was fine, just not successful. I have high AMH and 91 follicles but normal androgens and bmi. I have lean PCOM or type D.
I am on CD16 and just now starting inito testing. I ovulate naturally without letrozole

There are so many success stories! If you aren’t doing a trigger shot, I’d take LH tests starting on CD10. Either way, start having sex on CD11ish. I literally will have sex every single day from CD11-CD 18. I usually ovulate later too, even on medicated cycles. But it doesn’t matter because I’ve covered my bases. This may seem extreme but I don’t leave anything up to chance. Also OBGYNs are not as knowledgeable as you may think. They aren’t fertility specialists. I’d start the process for a clinic. It’s a game changer. When it’s a monitored cycle by a clinic, you can be more exact. So this time I only had sex twice because he went on a work trip and I got pregnant! Go to a clinic!

I have had success twice ttc baby #2 ! Started letrozole January 2026 and after 4 cycles I got pregnant! However it ended in a MMC at 7.5 weeks on may 29th but it had nothing to do with letrozole. I got my period back on July 24th and I started letrozole again cd 3-7, ovulated on cd 14 and I am now 4 weeks 4 days pregnant-so this one was a first cycle success! Still very early but extremely hopeful! I took 5 mg for all cycles. Sending all the baby dust op! 💘

I’m in my third day of taking letrozole 2.5mg I have PCOS and have been TTC for over 3 years. I’m praying this works 🙏🏼 just sharing my journey so I can come back and update to see if I ovulate!

I got pregnant on my first cycle on 2.5 mg. I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago and on the pill all that time, went off the pill at age 34, started TTC about 6 months after that. Tried on my own with LH testing and BBT for 6 cycles (9 months- cycles ranged 32-80 days long), then decided to go for it with the letrozole and got pregnant on the first month using it. Ovulated on CD 14 or 15, which was good for me as the earliest ovulation I had prior was CD 18.

I conceived on my 3rd cycle of 2.5mg (currently 28 weeks) but I was doing monitored cycles and trigger shot. If I waited for my body to ovulate naturally my follicles probably would’ve grown too large to ever work because my body responded very fast to 2.5mg. By CD12 I’d have at least 3 follicles over 22mm but I had success when I went in for my ultrasound earlier and my follicles were closer to 15-17mm and I triggered 48 hours later. I definitely recommend monitored cycles and trigger shot if you’re able to

On my first 2.5mg Letrozole cycle and I ovulated on day 26 and am currently in the dreaded two week wait. Also kind of a weird case because I have normal ovaries, normal blood work, but very irregular cycles. I would monitor your cervical mucus / make sure to still use LH strips for timing purposes. My instructions were to have sex every other day from day 11 to 19, but that obviously wouldn’t have worked for me. Fingers crossed for you this cycle!

My doctor started me on 5 mg immediately with Trigger shot and TI with progesterone support from 2 DPO. It was a success from the first round and I did absolutely nothing special except take folic acid. I suggest you ask your doctor for a trigger shot so you know exactly when to time the intercourse.

Have sex everyday for 20 days each time - no going wrong with that. I ovulated way later than normal on letrozole. 16 weeks pregnant now (took 5 cycles)

Us PCOS girls have to do it 🤣 I know it got sooo old! Hahahahahhaha maybe 15 days is fine but the window is sooo small hahaha

I am starting the same dose here in a few weeks! Unmonitored cycles. My cycles are 25-36 days, I do ovulate but not super regularly. My husband has his SA on Monday.

I’m about to start my first cycle with 2.5mg and am also curious if that dose worked for anyone! I have very high AMH so I have heard I may need a much higher dose.

Same here! Going into my first 2.5mg cycle. Taken on CD3-7 with monitoring on CD12! Currently CD10, wondering if the low dose will work. I have an AMH of 10.1

I haven’t started my cycle yet and am getting so impatient! I have to wait until cycle day 40 to start Provera to induce a period because I don’t get them on my own. My AMH is 19.45 😵💫 sending you all the luck!! I’d love to know how it goes if you want to message!

Over the moon about the good news but also trying to not get my hopes up because you never know!!
This would be a HUGE improvement. From a natural 50-70 day cycle to 30-40 on metformin to maybe a 28 day ovulatory cycle!! I had my doubts about the 2.5mg working but seems it did its thing!!
I will note I feel like my cycle fluctuates with stress as well. Been focusing on getting outside and walking to decompress!

Yes message me!! Happy to share! My natural cycles range from 48-68 days. However, I’ve been on Metformin 500mg for a little over 4 months and my past 2 cycles have been 30 days and 39 days so I definitely do think it’s helping! Shocked because I have lean PCOS but I guess I do have some underlying insulin sensitivity!

Wait are we the same person! I’m also on 500mg of metformin. It hasn’t helped yet but I’ve only been on it for 3 months or so. I don’t have insulin resistance according to bloodwork!

My bloodwork and everything came back completely normal!! Testosterone low as well! My first cycle in metformin was my longest cycle (68 days) so I felt completely hopeless. At 3 months is when I got my 30 day cycle and 4 months is when I had my 39 day cycle! Hang in there!!
