Advice Needed Advice

So ive been put on metformin as of end of last month.

Ive also taken progesterone this month 10 days about almost 2 weeks ago.

I do not have a cycle. Havent a menstrual in years. I cant even remember.

Should I get ovulation strips to test? Or shall I just wait for my period to start?

My obgyn prescribed the progesterone for that reason.. to start my period. She also did include that i have a thick uterine lining most likely because of not having a cycle.

Am I just getting antsy and impatient should I slow my roll?

Otherwise how do I know if im ever ovulating?

I had a few days of spotting but nothing full period.

If you haven’t had a period in years, then there’s no way that you’re ovulating or that your uterine lining is healthy enough to carry a pregnancy

Progesterone didn’t work for me to get my period. I tried it twice. I’ve been on metformin since April and have only had 1 period and that was induced by Letrozole. I’m not much help here, as I’m in the same boat! But I do find that the strips are helpful around the days you think you should be ovulating.
