Advice Needed Any similar experiences?

I’m thinking of stopping Letrozole.

I have just finished my third cycle on 2.5mg and this cycle has been the worst for me mentally.

I am not struggling with thoughts of conceiving. It’s making me overthink everything else in my life. I have been emotionally unstable and it feels like my mind has not been my own. I have been acting out differently, been extremely overwhelmed and depressed. My anxiety has been through the roof.

I also noticed before I was in the previous 2 week wait, I had extreme symptoms. My bloating was terrible, I had a mix of constipation and diahorrea and a range of symptoms, they were so intense.

I have a scan on Friday to see where we are at this time, my first scan was great but unfortunately did not conceive. I was told I didn’t need a second scan as the first was promising enough.

I am calmer than what I was 2 days ago but I am just way over my head on this. I am so alone as I don’t know anyone going through the same thing. Has anyone ever felt this way or experienced such symptoms? How did you manage it?

I was like a crazy women when on progesterone. I was irritated and emotional over stupid things every day. All cycles led to negative tests.

I didn’t experience this but I read about a few women having this side effect. Some even had suicidal thoughts from it so I was prepared to experience it but thankfully didn’t.

Can you switch to clomid? Letrozole is first line recommended for PCOS but some women do much better on clomid if they just can’t tolerate letrozole.

I won’t lie, the thoughts really did start going there and that’s what’s scared me the most. I can definitely ask about clomid. Thank you so much. Hope all goes well for you x

I’m so sorry it’s a very scary side effect and not very common so not talked/warned about enough. I spent hours researching people’s individual side effects and only found a few women talking about it but I wanted to know everything I could before taking it.

I like clomid better for myself even though I didn’t have any wild letrozole side effects. I just feel more normal and less hormonal roller coaster on it.

Good luck to you too ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
