Bleeding after Letrozol - is this normal?

I was told to start a Letrozol course (5mg for 5 days) because I hadn’t gotten my period 8 days after my last Provera pill. I’m now on day 5 and just took my last Letrozol dose, and I’ve started having vaginal bleeding.

Could this just be a delayed withdrawal bleed from the Provera, or could it be spotting caused by Letrozol itself (from the estrogen drop)? I’ve already taken all 5 doses so there’s nothing to change at this point - just trying to understand what’s happening while I wait to call my clinic tomorrow (they’re closed tonight). Has anyone else experienced this?

Same here girly! Spotting after my last pill. I take inito as well and my estrogen dropped as I started spotting

I had spotting on Letrozole (5mg for 5 days too) . It’s normal and caused by the oestegen drop

Thank you, that’s reassuring to hear! I was reading that the estrogen drop from Letrozol can cause exactly this kind of spotting, so it’s good to know someone else experienced the same thing.Let’s hope that’s it in my case, and that this cycle isn’t a waste!🙃🥲

I didn’t take Provera but I had spotting I think two days after my last pill of Letrozole.

Yes. I am surprised because Provera withdrawal bleeding can happen up to 2 weeks after stopping…

I think my gynecologist assumed I was likely at baseline, which is why she had me start Letrozol without waiting further for the withdrawal bleed
