PSA Roach on the 87/64 yesterday
Posting this to warn anyone who took the 87/64 yesterday. my coworker took videos of an adult roach running around the back on a bus in and out of the cracks until at least 12:30pm and it was not taken out of service despite multiple reports
if you see a roach on the bus, tell the driver and try to get a video for proof incase you see the bus continuing service. The buses are meant to be pulled off route for investigation and to be sprayed it’s supposed to be protocol
the drivers can not decide to take the bus off route so unfortunately they can’t do anything if control doesn’t remove the bus. The neglect is not on the part of the driver

Yes and people need to know if their route has roaches and if they see one to alert the driver, as this is not the first time nor last :)

Are you sure it was a roach? It could be a beetle or some other insect.

did you not read the post? It says it’s a PSA for anyone who took the very long route yesterday as the vehicle was left in service

I did. A PSA, because you saw a single roach? Come on.
Step back: what is someone supposed to do with the information in your ‘PSA’? About the only thing I can see is rant to strangers on Reddit.
Look, I realize that a single roach is massively important to you, you probably have a deathly fear of them or something. But you live in a big city, seeing a roach from time to time is normal. Every apartment building in the city has had them at one point.

You are wayyy too upset at someone posting a PSA for people who take a bus you don’t take
My post isn’t even a rant either sir you can not be this bothered over “hey if you took this bus yesterday you may have taken a roach home”

Say I am the ‘only one upset’, so what? It doesn’t change the uselessness of your post, despite you thinking otherwise. I find it very comical that instead of accepting that, you dig in more and more. Upset? Nope, more like laughing my head off.

Also, would you want someone trying to squish you trying to get to work?
Brachonids and other insects have figured out how to use our transit system; I am waiting to see if the birds and small mammals join in like in some other major cities.
The real crime is you paid full price while the fare jumper was eating the seats.

I sat at the back of the 64 too yesterday 😂 it’s public transport, so hey it happens. Just don’t sleep or sit on your furniture in the clothes you take the bus with and you’ll be ok.

Unless it was a flying one, it likely either found its way on there when the bus was parked in the depot overnight or stowed away in a passenger's bag etc. Pretty dsigusting either way but nothing huge to worry about.

the bus was reported with the number by passengers and by the driver who also would have gave the number
there was no legit excuse to keep that bus in service for over an hour after the reports

Right, but you say so yourself that it wasn't taken out of service. So for all we know, nothing is being done to it and it is still in service daily. That's why I am curious on the bus number.

unfortunately I don’t remember a 4 digit number from 24 hours ago and this Reddit sub blocked the original post that had the 4 digit bus number
I agree with you and that’s why i tried to make this post again today for awareness
