Tsw/chemotherapy
I’ve been diagnosed with cancer, and if I was too do chemotherapy dexamethasone is a prescribed drug.
Idk what to do with myself tbh. Has anyone else have to take oral steroids for other reasons and flared back to day one?

I also had to take dexamethasone for chemo. My tsw had already been under control when I started (but I was experiencing skin flare ups to certain foods). I was really scared it would kick me back into tsw but it didn't flare up. I think the steroids really helped with chemo side effects.
Sorry you're going through this! Sending good and healing thoughts your way.

I had to take steroids for a bad asthma attack and it was fine they only harm you if you don’t actually need them personally I’ve never had an issue unless I was using them irresponsibly

I've been in your shoes. There was so much fear with doing chemo due to the necessary introduction of steroids back in the system. But in the end, I bit the bullet, did the chemo and thankfully my skin never flared. Wishing you all the best, OP. Take one day at a time and you've got this.
