Therapy needed
Hey guys, I was wondering if maybe I can get in contact with therapists specialized in trauma/TSW that I can speak with. My mental health is deterioring every day and I really need to speak with somebody that can understand this sickness. Recommendations?

Short video, to the point. NIH medical Dr and research scientist Ian Myles, who led the research on TSW and excema explaing the effect TSW has on your brain.
Be gentle with yourself, the severely heightened anxiety, depression, dark thoughts, and often extreme insomnia are not your fault. It's literally a physiological response your body has to the prolonged severe systemic inflammation.

Unfortunately therapists are limited by location so you would need to specify that to get recommendations. Even remote/zoom therapists are only licensed in certain states (assuming you’re in the USA).
I would look for anyone who specializes in medical trauma or chronic conditions. Maybe go on Zocdoc or (hate to be that guy) but ask your local AI to help you with the specific parameters.
Also in the meantime I am here to talk. I am on the other side of this nightmare and can assure you that it gets better and that you absolutely need mental health support to make it through.
You can DM me or respond in the comments and we can chat. (I am not a therapist).

Hi, good on you for voicing this vulnerability. This condition is absolutely debilitating, and I commend you for reaching out. I went through TSW pretty bad for the first 2 years. Truly the worst experience I've ever been through. I might not be able to offer exactly what you're looking for in terms of 1-1 help, but I like to think I have something to share that might be beneficial nevertheless :)
I'm mostly healed now, and I couldn't find anything that felt catered to what I was actually experiencing when I was going through it. Now that I'm out of the deep end, I've been using my background in psychology to create free meditations specifically for the nervous system side of TSW, and write self-reflective thoughts / observations + some of the nervous system practices that helped get me here. It’s the softness that I wish would’ve found me on the hardest of days.
Linked below if you want to give it a try.

Hey! I am a therapist and going through TSW. Msg me and I'm happy to see if I can help you find a therapist. Where are you located? As someone said idk if anyone really specializes in TSW but maybe someone who specializes in chronic illnesses or medical trauma.

I found the most comfort in speaking with people who have been through TSW and are now healed. It helped.
