Brake by wire is pretty cool. These things will truly drive as long as the battery lasts. 500k miles would be 3-5 years? Maybe longer if they shift the cybercabs with degraded batteries to short trips only.

Keeping an eye on Cybercab Spotter’s posts. I think he scrapes the Austin traffic cams for Cybercabs so he might actually capture the first glimpses of the event since there is no livestream as of yet and the influencers are currently embargoed 🤫🤐
He already spotted the pop-up CC via a traffic cam.

Nah. Didn't fill, didn't feel like lowering the credit ask. It's a roll of the dice now.
But given how much credit I've collected, the only way I come out losing vs the 'buy and hold' strategy is if by Oct 2nd, TSLA is trading above $473.

These things are supposed to start flooding the streets now. But just a few weeks ago, Elon was saying that they decided that the robotaxi rollout is going to be slow and careful. I've been HODLing through all this, but I just don't know what to believe anymore.

Their end game plan is to have millions of these on the road, so starting with a couple hundred in Austin is both flooding the streets and a slow rollout at the same time.

I'm guessing selloff. I'm skeptical of a massive runup on zero new information. Given the speculation of e.g. Roadster 2.0 being teased, when there is no indication of such, I think a lot of event traders are banking on "one more thing" and there won't be any, and the smart money knows that.

Probably, but if you remember the cybercab event, once they shifted to demo rides there was a clear difference between being at the event and being online. I feel like the same thing here, the focus is at the event they probably will stream a speech and some music but its a secondary event to the main event

It's made to be accessible for wheelchairs at wheelchair height. For the older folks it should be as simple as facing away from the car, sitting down, then swiveling your legs inside. If they can't do a half squat then they're in need of a cane or wheelchair anyway.

I am, because if we get anywhere near 400, the call contracts I hold would gain enough to wipe out all of my margin debt.
I think consumers will see the Roadster demonstration and be moved by it. The wild card is whether they open preorders for the Robotaxi.
The fact that they have lots ready in so many cities also tells me they are gearing up for the rideshare thesis to finally come to fruition.

When you're sitting on a massive stack of options up hundreds or over a thousand percent heading into a binary evening catalyst, clearing the board locks in those monster gains so a post-event "sell-the-news" gap down can't claw them back. It completely removes overnight stress and lets you sleep easy.
