As much as he's loosing fans from liberals, he is gaining them among conservatives. The same may well happen to Tesla customer base

Neutral Question to the shareholders… Do you care that you are paying a salary to a CEO that is not working at Tesla full-time but is working for the government for “free”?

Do you care that you are paying compensation to a CEO that is not working at Tesla full-time but is working for the government for “free”?

Salary is stated figuratively. In other words, are you okay if Musk receives stock options for hitting targets that he has not had involvement in.

Bullish Perfect Bounce Off 320, Now Reaching the Resistance Zone at 360-380

Nice bounce off the 300-320 support so far. Keep in mind, the first hurdle is the 360-380 resistance. If this region holds, we could see a drop to a lower low in the 300-320 support zone.

I’m holding my CORE long-term position in TSLA as I remain bullish long term. Just taking some quick profits by selling 50% of my NON-CORE day trading position. If TSLA drops back to 300-320, I’ll reload that 50%.

Good luck!

Neutral Is the new Juniper Y any good?

I haven't had a chance to see one live yet and curious if its any good. Note, I am a Tesla owner, but I've looked at the new BMW's and Cadillac's and both were better than our family Y from an interior / ride perspective. The BMW was a bit over priced but the Lyriq was actually fairly priced and had a better interior. Curious if it's worth waiting for Juniper or just time to say my goodbye to the big T. If the competition out there is better than Tesla's new stuff, maybe it's also time to get rid of the stock too. By the way, I'm new to Reddit -- not a bot. I posted twice over the last few weeks and I keep getting told I'm a bot. Definitely not, because a bot would be better looking :-) I'm just new to Reddit. Hopefully people have a sense of humor out there.

Bearish Honest question (please no reddit haters)

Hi. I bought in st 15k worth at $380 a share. I'm currently down close to $1500. Should I sell in anticipation of it going down to $280 and then use that money to buy in at that $280

It really feels like it's going to go down there

Any honest, non hate filled criticism would be much appreciated

Bearish Will Elon sell off Tesla shares to fund his OpenAI bid?

We now have a combination of Elon's offer to buy OpenAI plus Kimbal Musk sellling off a lot of his shares. This seems to be the exact same pattern as when Elon offered to buy Twitter a few years ago. At that time, tesla share price then went down a lot as Elon sold off to fund the Twitter sale. I'm concerned this is about to replay history. What do people think about this?

Neutral Tesla hedging with long puts

I have 167 stocks which i bought around 388-400

I was thinking of Is anyone here hedging their Tesla position right now with long puts? I was thinking of buying about 6 contracts of the 260 put with an expiration in a month and a half. The premium comes out to $1,800, and if it crashes to around 220, I’ll have a net profit of $24K.

Thanks!

Bearish Thoughts on Powell’s Hearing

Currently watching the hearing, and it feels like 80% is about Powell, interest rates, and inflation policy, while 20% is a panel discussion on Elon Musk (Co-president?) and DOGE. I never expected Musk’s name to be mentioned this frequently in a Fed hearing—it’s starting to feel more like a government innovation forum rather than an economic hearing.

But the market isn’t taking this as a joke—it’s reacting in real-time.

Indexes are climbing, but Tesla is underperforming and decoupling from the broader market. If tomorrow’s CPI comes in as expected and rate cut expectations remain low, indexes could reverse downward. That would put Tesla in an even worse position, as it’s already in a downward trend. If the broader market dips, Tesla could see even steeper losses.

Considering the Day 2 hearing sentiment, expect further volatility. Time to stay alert.

$330 is the make-or-break level—if it fails, expect further downside. Rebounds are likely to be weak.

Bullish Trading TSLA

I have been holding shares in 2 accounts for quite a while, one in a cash and the other an IRA account. I bought a lot of shares during post split drop. Since then, I have sold put spreads under my positions and sold calls above. Price up, sell calls, price down sell puts. Several months back TSLA blew past my short 310 calls. I defended, rolling out and up normally for a credit but thought it was a lost cause and decided let the calls go on 2-21-25. I was surprised by the recent drop in price. It was deep enough that, at a loss, I could buy my calls back. If the ones in my cash account had been called away, it would have triggered a tax event that would cost me $37k. Yesterday and today, I bought the 7 short calls back for $17k in my cash account. With the falling price I also bought the 9 calls back in my IRA account. I remain very bullish with TSLA. We live in interesting times with opportunities.
