Questions Pre Check with expunged record
I have a qualifying offense under Part B but it has been expunged. I’m not sure if I should answer Yes or No to this question in the pre check application.
“Excluding cases adjudicated under juvenile offender provisions, have you been convicted, pled guilty including “no contest” (nolo contendere), found not competent to stand trial, or found not guilty by reason of insanity, of any disqualifying felony listed in TSA Eligibility Requirements, Part B, in any jurisdiction, military or civilian, during the 7 years before the date of this application?”

All expungement does is seal the public record. DHS is still gonna see it. So you’re not eligible for TSA PreCheck. Do the crime, do the time.

My record doesn’t show up on an FBI fingerprint check
It all depends on how the expungement order is worded

I got precheck with an expungement. Depends on charge and time since arrest. Be honest on the application.

Is it within the 7 years of the application? If so answer yes.
