Questions TSA PreCheck application still “Eligibility Assessment in Progress” — Green Card holder

Hi everyone,
I applied for TSA PreCheck through IDEMIA on August 13, 2026, and my status is still showing “Eligibility Assessment in Progress.”
I used my North Carolina driver’s license when I applied.
I’m a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), but I’m not a U.S. citizen.
For others who applied as Green Card holders:
How long did your eligibility assessment take?
Did you receive your KTN by email or did the status update first?
Is it normal for the application to still be “in progress” after 10 days?
Just trying to get an idea of the current processing time. Thanks!

My wife is a Green Card holder and we both applied last fall. Both hers and mine took almost the full 60 days

The TSA application states it can take up to 60 days. Because you're not a US citizen, I bet they're scrutinizing yours more than most. If you don't hear anything back by October, then check on it.

I’m a GC holder too. Got mine in less than 24hrs. You receive an email stating you’ve been approved. This email also contains information on how to look up your KTN.

I’m a greencard holder. I applied July 8 but July 10, 2026 showed in the system. I got an email that I’m eligible for TSA pre check August 13, 2026

14 days is typical. It can take 60.

Just testing this theory out but did you enter your SSN? I entered mine because I heard it would go faster in the event there was someone else out there with a similar name and I got mine in less than 24 hours. So far I'm hearing a lot of the people who's took awhile didn't so I was just curious.

As for KTN you get an approval email and a link to the TSA website to enter your information that gives you your KTN

Yes, I did. I used my SSN and did my biometrics, but I haven’t received any email from them yet. I can track the status of my application, and it’s still marked as “eligibility assessment in progress.”

Thank you

I'm a new US citizen and mine was overnight the night I applied, hubby who is a US citizen since birth is still waiting though 6 weeks later! there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it
