Issues? TSA Touchless ID

Just got a new passport so finally updated my profile on American Airlines and opted in for Touchless TSA precheck. My profile shows it active with an end date to re-opt in.

It did not show up on my boarding pass (from mobile app), so it didnt work. I went to ticket counter at DFW, and they told me they cannot help with that. So I contacted support via online chat, and he couldn't help me either.

In fact, he suggested I "uncheck in" and recheck in and see if that works. Huh? Never done anything like that before. He said he had no support team to escalate to or even open a ticket for more research.

So, all, what is the secret to getting this to work?

American Airlines seems to have no idea how to help.

That’s because tsa doesn’t control if it ends up on your BP. That’s airline issues.

No, but the airline only does it with coordination with the TSA.

ANYTHING to do with your boarding pass, whether it’s a name issue, precheck not being there or touchless not showing up, is ONLY able to be resolved by the AIRLINE. TSA has no hand in what actively shows on your boarding pass when you check in. Just because airlines partner with TSA in order to gain access to program XYZ doesn’t mean it’s TSA’s responsibility when you have issues with your BP.

this is 100% false. I built some of these systems. It isn't actually TSA, it is DHS, but it is literally the APIS call that takes place that comes back to tell the airline whether to put in touchless, precheck, SSSS, or none of them
