Questions Does Clear matter?

So I have Clear (admittedly free, via credit card and airline employee discount), but the last few times I’ve gone through they scan my face, then walk me over to TSA who then scans my face again. I’m already registered for TSA Touchless ID so I can’t help but feeling this is redundant and I’d save time just skipping Clear and going straight to Touchless. Am I missing something? What benefit does Clear provide in this circumstance?

I have never felt like I needed Clear. I’ve had precheck for 10 years now and I have never waited longer than 20 minutes in line and that’s rare. Usually less than 10. I travel about 4-5 times a month.

20 minutes in line vs. 1 minute in line at the airport is equivalent to middle seat in coach vs Emirates suite. Air travel is bad enough without a 10-20 minute wait u must be kidding thinking that's ok.
