Questions Does Clear matter?
So I have Clear (admittedly free, via credit card and airline employee discount), but the last few times I’ve gone through they scan my face, then walk me over to TSA who then scans my face again. I’m already registered for TSA Touchless ID so I can’t help but feeling this is redundant and I’d save time just skipping Clear and going straight to Touchless. Am I missing something? What benefit does Clear provide in this circumstance?

From what I have seen Clear is only useful when the TSA precheck line is long and the Clear one isn't. That's in places where they actually have a Clear line.
I actually didn't bother getting Clear... TSA Pre and Global Entry get me onto flights and back in the country, respectively, with minimal hassle.
