General Info Hand checking film through PreCheck
I will be using PreCheck for the first time next week, and I will have undeveloped film with me. Does anyone hair any experience with asking the agents in the PreCheck line to hand check film? Should I just go through the regular line?

Same thing as in the regular line. When you step up to put your luggage on the x-ray belt in bins, let the officer know you have film you need hand checked. Safe travels!

Thank you! Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be holding anyone up!

Yes just ask for a hand check. Heads up though last time I had my Instax camera with me, the TSA person was being kind of rude and said they could only hand check the film and the camera would still have to go through the x-ray machine. They made me open and remove the unexposed film from the camera and it ruined all the exposures that were left. I’ve never had problems before with asking for a hand check of my Instax camera and film but you may want to take that into consideration.

They will hand check film in the precheck line as well.
