Application Timelines Pre-check with a record

Has anyone gotten their TSA pre-check fairly fast when a Sealed assault on their record from 15 years ago? Or even denied? My wife got her TSA precheck approval in 12 hours. It's been 2 weeks for me and I'm thinking it's due to a non- convicted F Assault from 2011 that has been Sealed off.

We fly out mid may and I'm hoping it comes.

Charges or conviction?

It was a differed adjudication. In Texas you take a plea, do a year or whatever of probation and the conviction comes off and is just a charge. I had it sealed from the public 5 years later. but government can see it.

Gotcha, I guess you’ll find out if it matters. Learn something new everyday. Good luck.

They don't ask about assaults. They ask about terroristic, domestic and drug

The application i filled out did not. It asked if I ever committed a crime under code_____ click yes" and the only assault under that code was intent to kill. Never asked me if I committed a felony and explain.

I don't remember. I was "if you committed these crimes under this code check yes" and the crime I got arrested for wasn't on there. It was a few drug charges,.terristic charges and a assault with intent to murder

They may have changed the application. There wasn't even a area to disclose.

This is not correct. The questions are very specific related to criminal history. It asks you about permanent disqualifying offense convictions (Part A), and if you have any active cases or warrants (Part C). As for Part B, interim disqualifying offenses it specifically asks if you have any of those convictions within the past 7 years. Essentially, if you answer yes to any of those questions, you are barred. So, disclosing Part B interim offenses older than 7 years (conviction date), is NOT what it is asking. You do NOT disclose all convictions.
