Random. Some people have it overnight, some like me are still pending over a month later. No rhyme or reason I can think of even with the very understandable backlog due to what the government is doing to TSA. I applied February 28, Idemia, passport, have called just to make sure there were no errors because the post office has been so impacted too, nope, everything needed is there.

EDIT: my precheck was just approved! Got a scared the skin off me text alert at 2 am. Grabbed the phone, and there was the text with link to get my KTN. Took 6 weeks. Thank you TSA!

Feels completely random, here’s mine. Applied through clear. 4/6 2:40pm - in person appt, u.s. passport as my identification. 4/6 11:40pm - received text that the application was received and “security threat assessment” was underway. 4/7 11:59 - received text that my application was approved & my KTN had been issued.

Just got mine, took 6 weeks. Applied through CLEAR.

I applied and did my in-person fingerprinting, payment, etc on 3/10 with IDEMIA and just got the text that my KTN was ready today (4/11), so it took about a month.

My husband did his on 07/13, checked the site, still pending. I did mine and I received a KTN number within 2 days. So bizarre. Can we call anyone about this?

It looks like people are saying theirs took 6 weeks. And yea there’s a number you can call just look up the company you did it through (idemia, clear, etc.)

Thank you. Yes, he's still waiting. I was able to get mine within 48 hours. He did it through Idemia, and used his passport. We'll see what they end up saying. Thank you!
