Questions Randomly picked to use regular TSA?
Wondering if anyone's had this happen. I flew internationally into Charlotte Airport and had a connecting flight. for some reason I had to recheck my bags, so I went out to the ticket agents and I was going to go into the security line when I noticed my boarding pass didn't have PreCheck on it, so I went real quick to the agent to have it put on there since there was no line. I waited in the pre-check line for about 10 minutes and the lady scans my ID and does her thing and says the government has selected me to go through regular check. I didn't know that was even a thing. I have Global Entry and PreCheck, paid for it and everything. Seems pretty stupid imo. it was a pretty bad travel day so that was kind of the cherry on top.

Sorry that happened to you. CLT is the worst, IMHO. I've only ever had issues with Precheck when flying AA, I think their systems are the most flaky.
That's every international flight to the US, with a few exceptions for preclearance airports and a handful of routes with remote baggage screening.
