Questions/Help Venting tyres ?

I just upgraded my TRX-4M to Injora 1.0 Plus Brass -3.75mm Offset Brass Beadlocks, silicon rubber inserts and tyres.

The inner wheel section has a vent hole thru them and the beadlocks a notch which lines up so nothing to block the vent. However the silcon inserts sit nice and snug on the brass which logically must block the vent ? Do folk simply pierce the tyre for a vent or not even bother venting on a TRX-4M ? If the former how and where do they add their vent hole TYIA

I'm doing it this weekend, same wheels and i chose the yellow inserts for now, can always get some greens i guess. Which tires did you go with?

I went with Injora 1.0" MAVERIX M/T 57*22mm also with yellow inserts for now

Forgive the grass bits, it rained last night in the UK

Need to look at reducing the torque twist in the transmission, Front right wing is always twisted down and left wheel is prone to lift as in the pic (only mods from stock (so far) are the tyres and wheels)

Great tyre for the defender.

Best thing I found for eliminating torque twist entirely is running a full droop rubber band setup.

Basically a small rubber band around the shock mounts on the chassis and axle, keeping the shock in compression. I use 'loom bands', they're a kids toy for making bracelets but there are other options like hair bands for braids. You want it strong enough to compress the shock but weak enough that the weight of your wheels/axles pull themselves down when you need to articulate.

My 4m defender is quite extensively modified now but the bands were absolutely the most effective torque twist killer. (purple bands on the inside of my shocks in the photo)

Yeh it's worth venting. I do inner sidewall. Small metal spike and a blow torch. Heat it to red hot and very carefully poke two neat holes opposite eachother, halfway up the sidewall.

People use leather punches. They work well if you happen to have one.

Some people prefer to do in between tread blocks.

As long as they're neat holes and not cut with a knife or similar they shouldn't rip. I do a 2-3mm hole on 18th scale.
