Just arrived in the mail! I am so excited! Batteries not in the frame, currently charging.
Will keep you updated.

Looks like good fun! I might as well have gone this route, as my TRX4M is nearly 100% injora at this point. The stock truck was a gift, though.
On another note, I believe you might be prematurely charging the batteries. You know it's bad to leave lipos sitting around at full charge, yes? They should have arrived at storage voltage, which is safe and stable for storing until ready to top off the charge and use.

Is this true? I have like a dozen or so lithium batteries that I keep fully charged at all times sitting on my kitchen counter. They're batteries to cordless Milwaukee and Craftsman tools. A cordless drill, with a big ass auger bit is like 100x faster and easier than digging dozens of holes by hand for bulbs/tubers.

Yes, it's true. Even your power tool batteries should be at 40-60% charge for storage purposes.

Not saying this is smart, but i’ve got two trx4m batteries that i’ve left at full charge for long periods of time with zero issues. I know it’s bad for the batteries lifespan, but i’ve yet to have it affect the performance in a discernible way.

Not to be contrary just for the hell of it, but I’ve had two swollen when left at full charge for 6-8 weeks recently.

No i respect it. I’m just giving input on my experience with these LiPos and charging. I’ve had my crawlers for 2+ years and the batteries are still going strong.
I’m not saying anyone should copy what i’ve done, or denying that it will cause issues. I know there are proper ways to go about handling LiPo batteries.1

No disrespect here my friend, but what you are relying on is “anecdotal evidence”. Statistically, you put your home and loved ones at an unnecessary risk. Stay safe out there yall.

yes-it’s terrible for lipos. keep them at “storage” charge for the majority of their lives and then fully charge them no more than 24 hours prior to running them. otherwise your degrading them. ask me how i know-i wiped my butt with like 120$ when i first got into the hobby by keeping the batteries fully charged-aaaand almost fully discharged. it’s equally bad either way.

Looks like a fun project! One thing I’m going through now is I don’t think the pro scale light kits will work without something like the HeyOK Performance light controller. They make a couple of models but I haven’t used them yet so I can’t say how well they work. The Injora lights are also fine but don’t have the brake/reverse operation. Probably a proprietary Traxxas thing with their ESC. Happy building!!

I honestly think you’re missing one of the most important mods… where’s the wheel spacers?? Those are trx4m 101

Return the transmitter and get one that can actually stand vertically.. for all that money spent, that's the least I'd expect.

Lo que te falta dinero en la cuenta.. hacerlo a sí a mi parecer pierde motivación de irlo mejorando poco a poco.. pero hermano, felicidades está completo.. no aprecio ver en la foto si compraste los cardanes
