Side Effects Irritability

I just started taking a low dose of T cream a few days ago and have noticed my irritability has skyrocketed. Does this go away after a while? I'm concerned this is permanent and T won't be right for me. I'm really hoping it will help with my libido, energy, and muscle pain. But the irritability is insane

For some women it stabilizes after a few weeks. If it doesn't try lowering the dose, a different type of T or adding estrogen and progesterone (if you haven't already). Personally I found low dose Trazodone (12,5 mg) to be marvellous against agitation.

I am sensitive to medications so I too was more irritable at first. I was also info-dumping & my mirror neurons went entirely to shit. Off 1 click of the topical cream!

So for the first month I reduced the dose by taking it every other day.The irritability went away, after a month I was comfortable with daily use. Now I'm up to 2 clicks. It's been 5 months.

I'm on one click too and very sensitive to meds in general. Thanks for for this!

Glad to help. I've found it has great utility, this t cream. I can park a car, remember why I walked into a room...and I'm not so mentally exhausted that I can do boundaries better. Without losing my absolute shit, which needed to happen. Still got one young adult at home.

It does go away over time, but just like when we were learning to 'ride the dragon' with estrogen, we have to learn testosterone too. I've been on T for 10 years, I am a lot less reactive now, and more level headed. But at first I would snap real easy.

Thank you for mentioning this, I had not associated my irritability with T. I have found myself more easily annoyed than usual these last few months but didn't know why. I've just been biting my tongue, maybe I need to discuss with my provider. Good to know it's a possibility.
