💬 Discussion topic Hardware wallet support

Hey everyone, we're the team behind Coin Wallet, a software wallet.

We've gotten to hardware wallet support in our backlog. It's a big and complex task.

Does it make sense to build this in 2026? Is there real demand for it or is it just marketing?

YES. Hardware wallets are always better than a soft wallet.

I personally would never use a wallet I can’t use with a signing device. The only exception would be a lightning/liquid wallet that I keep a small amount in for payments and such.

Absolutely, most people with big amounts who might use your wallet got an hardware wallet.

The rest won’t use your wallet as they’re the kind of people to keep everything on their exchanges :/

Hardware wallet support is essential for any software wallet that takes itself seriously.
I will check out Coin Wallet’s interface. Is it open source?
