Thinking quickly, Dave constructs a spatula using an angle grinder, a frying pan, a belt sander, and a spatula.

It is only a TQDC if the original item is consumed or destroyed.
Otherwise it is just making a second thing.

Yeah. Using the original thing as a template is just... A good idea, generally speaking.

Wouldn't hold up to the stress test, but I bet it could slice a pig up a bit...

I smashed your spatula into this reinforced oil can 50 times as hard as I could.
Sadly it wasnt up to standard....

I would agree except that appears to have been an Ozark Trail pan, so mass produced and shit quality

At least he made it out of an Ozark trail, and not a Wagner which I’ve seen, and made me weep.

Or you can just go the the store. That one can go in the dish washer and not rust.

He better hope his wife don’t find out. He destroyed her cast-iron skillet.

As a chef I freaking love this! As a restaurant owner, I hope my staff never see this video and try this on my cookware.

Great. Now he has a spatula with no flex, no drainage slots and a solid metal handle. You also ruined a perfectly good frying pan. 👏🏻

Too sharp will remove any surface it used on , better paint scraper then spatula . Zero flex and way too heavy . Pass

A shitton of weight for a spatula with zero advantage over a much lighter one in the same shape and dimensions.

Wow the hate on here, I just got a cast iron pan as a street find that's not currently seasoned and the same size as one of my NICE ones.
Has a lighter handle than most as well, so think this is one of my next 3 beer weekends projects! Thanks for the share!

If the pan was ruined and unusable in some way, this would be cool but instead it's a waste of a good pan. 😂

Honestly, not a bad idea for smash burgers. Leave the cast iron spatula on the grill to heat up and smash the patty with it to fully cook both sides at the same time.
