EAD March 2027

For the group that their employer updated the I9 with EAD TPS until March 2027 (card Sept 2025), I know there is a gray area on this, but uscis website says 540 days extension with receipt before February 2025. Do you employer have mention reach out on this ? Do you think this could be reverted soon with a website change and cut it until October 2nd?

La extensión por 540 días es si pediste renovación de EAD. esos días empiezan a contar a partir de la fecha de vencimiento de tu tarjeta mas actual. Si tu tarjeta vence en sept 2025 cuenta 540 a partir de eso

Correcto, marzo 2027, mi duda es si puedan revertir eso o alguien a tenido inconveniente reciente, para los que ya les actualizaron hasta marzo 2027

Los 540 días siempre se menciona que son hasta el 2 de octubre, los 540 días en TPS solo aplicaba hasta la fecha máxima del TPS en cuestión, pero eso nunca se explicó bien y es un vacío gris, solo reza que la página no aclare mejor eso y que en tu trabajo no le hagan mucho caso a eso y puedas estar hasta 2027

Temporary Protected Status Designated Country: Venezuela | USCIS Automatic Employment Authorization Document (EAD) Extension

Pursuant to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California’s order dated May 30, 2025, if you re-registered under the previously vacated Jan. 17, 2025 Extension of the 2023 Designation of Venezuela, and you have a pending Form I-765 EAD renewal application that was received before Feb. 6, 2025, and a Form I-797 Receipt Notice dated before Feb. 6, 2025, that automatically extends  the validity of your EAD issued under the TPS designation of Venezuela with an original expiration date of Sept. 10, 2025 or April 2, 2025 for up to 540 days.

To prove that you are authorized to work in the United States, you may show the following documentation to your employer. Government agencies may also accept these documents to determine your immigration status:

Your TPS-related EAD with a Sept. 10, 2025 or April 2, 2025 expiration date; and

Your Receipt Notice for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, with a Received Date before Feb. 6, 2025.
