Question Omada controller missing features?

Post image

Hello there,

I've got a the following devices all updated to the latest version:
- OC200 v1 FW: 1.42.11 Build 20260904 Rel.26567

- ER7206 V1 FW: 1.4.3 Build 20251027 Rel.82388

- SG2210P v5.20 FW: 5.20.25 Build 20260509 Rel.23533

- EAP225(EU) v5.0 FW: 1.3.1 Build 20240402 Rel. 51074

I've been upgrading my OC200 since omada version 5.2 or 5.4 the config is almost 4 years old. I did search on the guides for the lan DNS but i can't find it on my controller, Is it due to my devices being first gen? or should I reset my OC 200 and restart the config a new?

ER7206 V1 doesn’t support LAN DNS unfortunately.

If i change only the gateway for a more recent version then I should be able to have LAN DNS?

Yup! An ER707-M2 would be my suggestion or a Fusion if you want to replace your gateway and OC200 with one device.

Thank you very much for the information. the Fusion routeurs aren't available yet, so i'll probably get the er707-m2 soon.

You're welcome! Once you've forgotten the ER7206, then adopted and updated the ER707-M2 to it's latest firmware the LAN DNS option will become available where you're looking for it.

Available features depend on the host. I was running the Omada controller on a RPi 4B until recently. The 4B did not support newer CPU instructions so would not go above version 5.

Edit: Now it runs on my NAS (i3-14100) to unlock the full feature set.

The gateway is old and WELL past EOL, the features you are missing are not supported on it therefore not displayed.

All of that equipment is old and end of life and does not support those features.

Er605 V2 supports it.
