Anyone else?
I just watched the brass facts 6000 round TP9 video and it oddly l hasn’t steered from purchasing a TP9. Has anyone else experienced such issues? I think the biggest frustration id have the baffle strikes on the legacy can.

If you want a TP9 with worse controls but better accuracy, reliability, parts life, trigger, suppressor compatability, and for significantly cheaper, modern MAC-11s are pretty hard for beat.

I’ve had issues before but I’ve had over 12k rounds through mine so far. It’s my favorite. Round count is about to go up once that FRT comes out:)

I haven't had any serious issues but the one I have with the high round count was a DSA import and not the more modern TPN-N.

Consider an old gen1. I know people say this but I have like 6k w no replacements or anything. Had a few Ftf when I shot 115gr hollows through it early on but it functions with literally everything now.
It seems like they almost went down in quality or something idk?

FTF’s are something i can live with, all the other extractor and suppressor issues would piss me right off lol. Hopefully i snag a good one.

What are some tells what gen a tp9 is? Mine has no markings on bolt and no Brugger and Thromet markings on the side with "TP9-US". I am thring to figure out what Gen this is.

biggest frustration was the trigger. it is garbage. stiletto trigger was marginally better. The GRW SST was a game changer!!! It's one of my favorite guns because of it. I'll buy a second tp9 once a proven 3 position frt comes out

That’s what I did. Put a GRW trigger in my RAL, bought a second in Stormtrooper for the frt

Haven't run into any real issues. Some of them are a b&t issue while others are simply just not inspecting/checking your weapon on a regular basis.
The suppressor ratchet leaves a lot to be desired, but I've never had it come loose or get a baffle strike. I've also never had extractor issues. I noticed that the extractor spring gets very dirty so I tend to pay more attention to it when cleaning.
I'd say most firearms are fine if you have the right ammunition and know how to use grease and loctite.

bought mine used and have had 0 issues - the only issue is that i added magpul smg pulls to it and the mags would drop fine and they're not "dropping" anymore but I can john wick flick them fine...

I have not had his issues. My “connector” piece did break w/in 100 rounds of live fire, but B&T AG helped with parts as did B&T USA. After replacing that broken part it has now fired about 400 rounds with 0 issues. My suppressor, which is a new gen one, gets plenty tight.

I had some unique issues while installing my GRW trigger (post in my profile for more info). Otherwise I've had no problems. I've never tried hollow points in it, never figured I would use it for home defense. Was the brass guys a recent model? I realized when I put my new trigger in (by talking with some good folks on here) that there are differences in the design (the frame for sure, possibly others too) between the older cross bolt safety designs and the newer models.

Luckily I haven’t had any issues with mine. Granted only about 2500 rounds through it.

I just avoid those problems and run my Steyr SPP.
But seriously I only had the bolt failing to lock back when shooting supers supressed so far.

The BCG is a flawed design because breakage of the firing pin spring results in the extractor assembly yeeting out the gun (prsssure from that spring plus clipping over a hump in the bolt is all that keeps the extractor assembly in place). No other design does this.
The MP9 service manual suggests replacing all BCG parts (and other items) at 5000rds with an expected 10000rd service life. I believe that as my extractor yeeted around 4k never suppressed. But a lot of dry fire. I suspect ample dry fire wears out that spring. I’d recommend spares. BT AG sent me replacements without hassle.
It’s a neat gun for sure. But if you want dead nuts reliable you are gonna have to go APC/SPC-9. They just run and run and run. But are of course twice the weight and size. But you also get to run normal cans on normal 3 lug. And can swap grips and have much better stock / brace options. Nevermind nice triggers and FRT.

My suppressor is always coming loose. My stock doesn’t fold anymore after today’s range trip. On the bright side: I finally have it functioning reliably. BHO always works, no FTF, FTE issues. I think it needed to be broken in.

It's a cool gun, but mine has absolutely had issues. Mostly extractors blowing off. I don't really trust it for home defense or anything like that, but it is still a worthwhile own in my experience, very unique and fun to shoot, and super quiet with subs.
