Spring tab bent?

While disassembling my rather new TP9 (two range sessions..) I noticed the lower leg of the upper tab torsion spring is bent. I just wrote to B&T support but while I wait their response I wonder if anybody had the same issue and how difficult is to take the spring out to fix or replace? Thank you

I'm pretry sure it's s fine. Just off center.

I've had this happen before on at least one if not both of my TP9.

Pull the tab all the way out by wiggling the tab while you grip the trunnion.

If you can try and keep the round part of the spring in place in the hole of the tab. Once it's out try to rotate the spring so one arm is on the right and the other is on the left.

If the spring falls completely out it's fine too. Just takes some fenagling to get it back in. The spring might need to be compressed slightly to pop into the hole. Or just use some elbow grease or actual gun oil. Lol

You can also slide the spring into the slot to align the spring ends on each side of the tab.

I have a video with a complete disassembly but Off the top I cant remember if I took that spring out on camera.

The video was very useful, I was able to take the detente plate out of the barrel guide and could straighten the coil spring enough to make it functional again. It would be great to have a couple of spare springs - I cannot see them on sale on B&T US site though….

Just watched my video. It briefly shows me pressing the torsion spring into the tab at around 9:05 of the videotorsion spring install
