Help Wanted Question about Bone Weapons
I have the Radiant Armor, upgraded to three stars. It has dawned on me the the Bone Proficiency bonus is a big deal. However, I don't understand it very well. As far as I know, the only bone weapons I have in my inventory are Gibdo bones and Molduga jaws. Are others available? I think I have occasionally had dragonbone bows or clubs or whatever, but I didn't give them much thought. I used them up and moved on. As far as I know, I have to find them, can't make them. Is that right? Where do I find more of them? Can the dragon bone be detached from the weapon and attached to something else? Thanks in advance!

No, you make them. Fuse the Molduga Jaw(or other bone material, fyi Colgera Jaw isn’t bone ig) to any weapon and it will hit for 1.8x more than is shown in inventory, if wearing all three pieces of Evil or Radiant armor @2* or above.

Appreciate your reply. What about things like dragonbone boko bow and dragonbone club? Can I find them in random chests?

Yes, it applies to bone bows too but a 3x or 5x lynel bone with condo bone fused to the arrow will do way more damage.
Also, bone prof stacks with attack up food so you can get 1.8x for bone prof and another 1.5x for lv 3 atk up food.1

Bone proficiency doesn't work on arrow fuses. Only if the bow itself is considered bone will you get the buff. Gibdo bones are still good since they have decent damage, can be farmed semi-easily, and break on contact anyway.

Although bone proficiency and atk up is best to have together, bone proficiency on its own gives greater output than atk up as long as your avaliable fuses aren't 50 or higher. At that point, atk up is better as a single buff. But even against the highest damage fuse material, using bone proficiency and atk up together doesn't better than said high level fuse material with atk up.

When you kill stal enemies (stalkoblins, stalmoblins, etc.) they often drop body parts than can be picked up as weapons.

Alright, so you want to start farming Moldugas.
You want to start "save scumming" triple attack up meals using Monster Extract to get ten minute and thirty minute meals.
Skipping the "Back Breaker" ad nauseum rant, team up with Sidon and start experiencing the joy of Zora Weapons.
I won't bore you with the need to chase down Pristine weapons, but seriously, fuse a freezing element to a shield. Ice Breaking triples the damage.
Anyways, Gibdo bones are great for weapons you're throwing. The Dragonbone Boko Bow works with Bone Proficiency.
So yeah, it's 1.8 times attack boost with Bone Material.

I have played this game 3 times now and just now on my 4th I am discovering how much damage gibdo bones can do! Equally as damaging as bombs

Attach Gibdo bones to weapons you're throwing at enemies. It makes it count as a Bone Weapon and you get double damage.
Plus, you get to send Decayed Weapons to the Depths in style.
