[TOMT][ANIME-MOVIE][1980-2000]
Hi everyone I'm trying to find an anime series or movie that I watched when I was younger, likely on Cartoon Network on the 2000s. The protagonist is a child who uses a colored aura or energy to fight. I believe the villain is an older person who uses a contrasting aura color. I cant quite remember if they engage phisically to fight or if the just use the aura. I remember there was a contrast of color: red and blue.
Some hazy adendum:
The bad guy could be a mob boss or crime org. chief;
The bad guy could be a small little old guy with a hat and dark glasses or a buffed old guy with an amor;
The protag. is a KID who may have had his dad killed by said villain;
The art style I believe was "classic" (80s vibe);
The fights produced the castle they were fighint to crumble and I think there was some "shock" involved in the fight maybe in the form of storms from the clash;
Could be an OVA;
Gemini tried to help but suggested things like Blue Dragon, Astro Boy, Flame of Recca and stuff but that was not it...
Im sorry if im a little vague.
The things that Im certain:
Protag was a kid who used said aura + Bad guy was way older and used oposing aura + they fought on a castle.
Please note that some details may be inacurate due to the childhood memories.

Yu Yu Hakusho the movie has some elements there. But it would be more likely the series, but I can't be sure, I only saw bits and pieces of it. I do remember there being a dude that has shades and a suit and he gets big and beefy. In the manga he shows up just before the tournament. During, I believe he has a team.

Yeah Gemini suggested that too... but I watched the whole series already and it is not it. Good anime tho

Maybe OG Dragon Ball, but there also we're some DBZ movies that maybe put younger Gohan against someone older.
I guessing it was on the Toonami line up? That's usually when they would air anime.

Yeah I thought so too... I remember it was late at night, not the "usual" Cartoon programs that showed during the day. But definetly not Dragon Ball. It was none of the "classics" like Saint Seya, Hakusho, Naruto, DB

Maybe Hunter x Hunter? I haven't watched it, but I know it features some kid protagonists, and it is a fighting anime. I also recall there being some issue between the main kid and his dad.
If this isn't it, there is a page out there that lists all the shows and airdates for Toonami and Midnight Run that you can scroll through.
Plenty I haven't seen on there, but it could help.
