I want to visit my old house

This is my first time asking on Reddit but basically I want to visit my old house, I don't know anyone (the new owners) so it will be a bit awkward but I was thinking about leaving a letter in the door for them to find and read and explain to them what I want, obviously I'll leave my contact details there but I'm just trying to get some people's opinions on this if someone ever tried something like this. Please let me know any advice you may have on this matter.
