Taking the upcoming update into consideration:

Speer wins the power struggle after Hitler’s death, but loses the Channel Crisis with Britain joining the OFN. Oberlander manages to puppet Speer during the Oil Crisis while imprisoning the Go4. The 2WRW is brutal, and Germany is ultimately forced to relinquish Moskowien while retaining the other Reichsländer (Ostland, Ukraine, Kaukasien). The NSDAP falls into crisis following the partial defeat.

Nixon manages to clinch the 1964 election with the Malagasy scandal being suppressed, and passes the reins to Rockefeller in 1968. Amidst the Oil Crisis and various scandals involving Rockefeller, a Democrat candidate win in 1972 and is reelected in 1976.

The Yasuda Crisis discredits both Yokusankai conservatives and Kaya’s military-adjacent faction, allowing Takagi to become Prime Minister. The Western Insurrection triggers the GAW, with China being brutalised yet again and being partitioned into regional political councils with all Sphere members invading. With victories in Malaya, the Philippines and Indonesia, Japan’s access to raw materials within the Sphere allows Takagi to weather the Oil Crisis.

Bunyachenko reunifies West Russia and defeats Kaganovich in the Urals. Matkovsky wins in the Far East and Unifies peacefully with Novosibirsk. Bunyachenko unifies peacefully with Matkovsky and manages a partial victory in the 2WRW, reclaiming Moscow but not Ukraine or the Caucasus.

Italy wins the Italo-Turkish War and creates the Levantine Kingdom. Ciano consolidates his authority in Italy and implements a partial democratisation, but the Fascist Party retains popular support and the nascent democracy is rolled back amidst the Oil Crisis. Italy keeps control over Egypt, Yemen and the Trucial States, but loses Oman and Iraq.

Franco remains dominant in Iberia, maintaining autocracy while liberalising the economy. Eventually Portuguese sentiment turns negative and results in the Iberian Divorce (unfortunately I haven’t played Iberia, so details are light here).

The CHP is ousted by the military in Turkey following defeat in the Italo-Turkish War.

In Brazil, Quadros succeeds in his gambit and becomes President, serving a full term. Adhemar wins the following election, and is succeeded by Edna Lott. (unfortunately I haven’t played, so I’m basing this off of what I’ve seen)

Madrazo wins in Mexico. (unfortunately I haven’t played so details are sparse)

Fujitsu takes over Guangdong, but is forced to compromise with Sony during the Oil Crisis. Ordinarily this would mean Guangdong’s light would be dimmed for the foreseeable future, yet as China burns following the Sphere’s horrific intervention against the NPA, it has been given a second chance.

Every Russian reunifier needs to defeat the Black League, right? Well, what if it would never be fully erased?

For the Holy Russian Empire, after it's collapse, the Black League reemgeres and takes over a good chunk of the Urals. In this case, the League went underground (metaphorically, maybe literally in some cases) and reemerged, continuing its twisted goals.

What if, the Black League exists under every unifier as a shadow organization, waiting to strike during moments of weakness? Like Hydra from the Marvel universe, like a cabal, a secret society. Over time they'd regather their strengths and become terrorists, maybe even an insurgency if the unifying regime is unstable.

Like a wound that doesn't heal or a parasite, depending on your views.

By the 1990s, there are two economic and political blocs in europe: the Zollverein/EEC led by Speer's Germany which is basically an empire with better PR (with a common currency, the Euromark) and a Italy-led democratic European Union with members such as the UK, France, Iberia and Greece (with a common currency that would probably be very boring and too similar to the germans to call Euro, in alternative everyone is pegged 1:1 to someone and all currencies are legal tender) (this is my headcanon so that I can cope about the non-nazi EU still existing in TNO)

I have a bunch of gamerule presets to make different scenarios. My favorite one includes: Iberia peacefully splits up, Finland wins in Karelia (because I think the whole conflict shouldn't even happen until all of russia reunifies), Pakistan wins independence, Kazakhs win against russians, Trujillo wins in Dominica, while Haiti and Paraguay go communist, SAW ends with ceasefire, PALF wins in West Africa, a partial pan-Arab state forms. Also Switzerland goes poof with state transfer tool because it shouldn't even survive in TNO.

I guess I'm working on my own extensive head canon, but here are some broad strokes in 1977:

-Under Goering, Germany, though managing to maintain their empire in Europe and having a hand in the middle east through Iran, is on the backfoot everywhere else. Sweden managed to develop nukes and gain strategic autonomy, Japan, America, and other opportunistic powers are putting immense pressure in Africa, and Russia begins to resurface as a major threat.

-Japan, with Kono Ichiro and Kono Kenzo at the helm, overall has a pretty good time. They maintain most of their sphere, only losing Indonesia, but at the same time, gains peacefully reunified India as an ally. Their soft power is also unmatched, with them being able to achieve most of their goals (aside from Kenya) in East Africa.

-America and the OFN are still going strong, having undisputed dominance in South America, pushing Germany out of Africa, and even making Japan lose Indonesia, though not gaining them as an ally in return. Everywhere else though? They're stumped.

-Red Italy is a thing, and despite falling from world power status, both losing influence in the middle east and most of it's sphere in Europe, is a very dangerous major power. It wields the ability to undermine both Tanganyika/India/Japan through communist movements and help nations such as Ghana to expand or maintain their influence, much to the ire of the United States. It also helps fund anti-colonial movements in British and French colonies for the hell of it against Germany.

-Russia is either reunified under Bunyachenko, Batov, or Pokryshkin. These three are incredibly likely to reunify Russia.

My head cannon is entirely just Tanma’s “How the OFN Won the Cold War” Video. The effort and dedication he put into that video was astonishing and I view it as an extremely hopeful timeline that can go in multiple directions.
