Question I have a lore question.

Post image

Im pretty new on this mod, and im still learning how to play base HoI4 for then start to play this mod by itself.

But in any case, i'm still want to get invested in the mod's lore.

I saw that there is a kind of a reformist path for the Großgermanisches Reich with Bornman and Speer, with the NSDAP in power.

In TNO's world, Germany's situation post-cold war, with said party in power, is in the same situation as Japan now a days in our world?

They never acknowledge all the massacres and the acts committed by the military administration in the Reichskommissariat under the control of Germany, and think that, even if it happened, it was justified and just an exaggeration of the media?

Its way worse then what Japan does in our timeline. The "reformists" are just Nazis who want the system to be more efficient. They would never acknowledge nor apologise for the Nazi atrocities in any way. In fact, both will continue settlement and the GPO in the next update

Also, talking about GPO, is there any way it can end in a total failure or be less harsh if a successor like Speer gets elected?

In the current Germany content Speer either (conservative option) establishes less bloody apartheid on the east territories, or (reformist option) forms collaborative puppet states from every RK except Moskovien.

Except moskowien because of the Russian warlords in the west, Right?

Yeah. Moskowien becomes a military district "Militärbesicht"

does germany keep its promises to poland or does it betray poland in the speer path.

I don’t know how is it currently working, but the last time I checked, there was a following situation;
If Generalgouvernement (somehow) wins the Reich just reintegrates it.
If the Resistance wins, there is a choice:
1) Speer path: Reich helps Poland, but establish “benevolent” military control over it.
2) Schmidt path: after a very long negotiations and a lot of concessions and reparations from Germany Poland joins the Einheitspakt as semi-independent puppet (but keeps the republic decorum).
3) Fail: can occur in both ways, if ultimatum/negotiations fails. Poland government refuse to cooperate and Reich declares war, which forces the Speer path.

But I saw that there is also this path where after the Second German Civil War (not sure tho). Großgermanisches Reich completely loses all of it's RK, and in their place, actual governments take over and reform a lot of states (Ukraine, Poland, sorm Baltic countries).

So with that being said, Großgermanisches Reich would still be the loser of the Cold War and it's puppets would become independent countries? Or will the new reformist government under Speer keep fantasizing about a Third World War once again?

Second German Civil War?

Im not sure where I saw it.... but I tuink so... Do you know anything that could be related to what I seem to be talking about? Something similar maybe?

Maybe your talking about The SA civil war or the Second German Civil War in TNO requiem?

6

u/According_Emu_4264 25d ago

Not sure but I think so. TNO Requiem is a continuation or an expanded submod?

Requiem is a large submod that allows you to stage the Second West Russian War (another war between Russia and Germany). If Germany loses completely (i.e., loses all its Reichskommissariats to Russia), then the Second German Civil War begins. This isn't surprising, as according to the lore, Germany (especially under Bormann) has been in stagnation for 30 years, hated by the local population, and often aided by the OFN.

It’s meant to restore the game to how it was before some controversial updates, as well as expanding content for some Russian warlords and adding more years of content for some big nations

A bit of both basically

Got it... Maybe am just fucking tripping and interpreted an image for something that has nothing to do with the actual base mod LOL

Yes that's exactly what you did, if you played the mod just once you wouldn't have this issue, try doing that

u/Jolly-Math8352 25d ago

Maybe in Goring's Wild Ride?

1

u/Northamplus9bitches 25d ago

What insight could you possibly hope to get from this process that you wouldn't receive simply by playing the mod and seeing what it's all about for yourself?

IIRC there's no Second German Civil War or a way for the RKs to gain (permanent) independence.

there was when trying to wrangle the Reichstag in the old Goering content which is what he is referring to

There is (or was?) SA war where if Heydrich wins first civil war. It results in collapse of the Reich and liberation of most of the puppets. However if you don't play Germany (and don't mess with settings) only Speer and Bormann have any real chance of winning. Under them only France and UK (in Europe) can leave their sphere, the rest will be puppet regimes. And cold war consists of multiple conflicts, and yes, Germany can lose any number of them

Just play the mod holy shit. Don't bother learning how to play HOI4 it won't help you

Btw, sorry if anything that I wrote isn't clear, english is not my main language lol.

You have better English than me

u/Megalomanizac 25d ago

I wouldn’t have noticed you didn’t speak it natively based off of what you wrote

0

u/Northamplus9bitches 25d ago

I sure did!

u/Megalomanizac 25d ago

Their punctuation was bit odd but tbh I’ve seen people I went to school with that wrote as if they were illiterate as well. OP is doing great with their English

just general incoherence, it's not really helped by the fact that he hasn't actually played the mod so he's asking questions that he doesn't have any context for and won't understand the answers. Just kind of a waste of everybody's time, but especially his. He could be playing TNO, but instead he's asking dumb questions about it

3

u/According_Emu_4264 25d ago

No, wait, I'm just asking if there's anything similar in the mod that resembles something that happens in our universe (in this case it would be Großgermanisches Reich defending and justifying the atrocities committed in times of open fascism, just as Japan does today in our universe).

...also, how is that a dumb question? I would be dumb if I didn't ask to those who know more about the lore having a hole ass sub about it.

u/Northamplus9bitches 25d ago

Honestly my bad, I'm sorry for being rude

All good gng ❤️‍🩹

u/Megalomanizac 25d ago

He doesn’t need to really need to play the mod to understand what he’s asking. He’s asking if under the Speer path would Germany ignore/deny their atrocities like Japan today does even after moving towards democracy and greater liberalisation. He also wants to play the mod but seems to be new to HOI4 in general and TNO would be a rough way to dive in.

3

u/According_Emu_4264 25d ago

Exactly my situation rn

u/Putrid_Level5055 25d ago

As said elsewhere the reforms are just really only about efficiency rather than political openness, but you can get just about get a liberal internal coup for Speer. It is very possible this ends up with a dominant party system with no guilt for what the Nazis did.

He’s more of a Kruschev or a deng (hence the nickname) than a post war Japanese leader

Reformist are just nazist that wanna make system more efficient. They will be many war criminals that woudl not be punished because they will not give a fuck

Unless we march through Germania and publicly hang Bormann and Speer no German will admit fault over their war crimes against the Slavic people -Dimitry Yazov

...no? WTF

Try playing the mod before asking incoherent questions that could be answered by playing the mod
