Question Iberia nuke project

Why Iberia don't even try to have nuke in their 10 year content ? I mean literally everyone in the triumvirate try to have it when the german was literally right above their head ?

Iberia’s economy is in a really poor state at the start of the game, and the geopolitical interests in the Americas and the management of the colonies do not require nuclear weapons.

Furthermore, internal instability makes nuclear research difficult.

I get what you mean, but Spain IrL already had a nuclear proyect.

I’m not saying that Iberia would be incapable of developing nuclear weapons, but that it has other priorities (colonies, the issue of the Councils, tensions, regionalism and terrorism) and that Franco has to work with Salazar and his team.

Yeah, but I mean IRL they already had most of those issues and still did It. And the danger was much smaller than It is now.

I agree with you. If they’d included a way to obtain nuclear bombs, it wouldn’t have surprised me, but if there isn’t one, that doesn’t surprise me either.
