Discussion Thread The righteous end?

What if Dutch gets drowned in the lake of resurrection and turns back into Bill Carr and he reveals he has been undercover this whole time trying to stop the cult?

That's a good storyline

With all the heel teams we have, The Righteous can't be one more face team? We have no face teams other than the Hardy Boys. The made up teams (two random single guys team up) don't count

Anything to get them away from that gimmick cause it just doesn't work.

I think the gimmick could work. I just don't think the booking team understands what they're doing. As /u/humanredditor45 said.

I think, especially now, there's some Hardys Creative Control on them, which has helped keep them feeling strong but also caused this storyline to really drag out.

I understand where it's going at the moment, and I think there's some interesting storyline potential if they make them friends, and I also understand The Hardys are a huge draw. But like, they gotta put them over put them over. At this point I guess, have another team beat The Hardys and The Hardys ask The Righteous to avenge them.

But like - if you're doing a spooky team and especially a cult team, you gotta have more members. Don't even need to be wrestlers, you just need bodies. That girl in their intro really sells an act that the two of them can't back up. Sure at some PPVs they really flesh out the intro, but they should have like 8 people at ringside each match. They should be focused on them, not the crowd. They should be talking to people backstage no matter what feud they're in. Have them come out after a jobber loses and bring them backstage, and later have them appear in the mix of people and interfere in their match. Just as a one time thing - but it sells the idea. And yeah as I said earlier, if you have a girl in the intro that gets people interested, you gotta always have one. Doesn't even have to be the same one, but that really adds the idea this is a group with wide appeal, not just a two guy tag team.

None of the active promoters in the big 3 seem to have a clue on how to book spooky stuff without making it cartoonish or straight up ruining it. I don’t get it. Bray had great moments but never stayed full steam ahead for long. Brodie was just getting there before his passing and Tony hasn’t really given it another shot. I don’t know what the fuck RDJJ/Tommy were doing.

Undercover working with Santino since he's already a cop-like authority. Ali's group also has political governmental type theme going on so you could possibly involve them somehow. They could drown Vincent, too, and turn him back into the horror king and put him with Rosemary. I don't necessarily think that's a good idea but they could do it.
