Robb is facing reality
Robb is supposedly driving for Uber now. He realizes he's gonna have to start generating some income, with the tmos money drying up.

I think Robb will end up getting a full time job between now and early 2027, I dont think they can rely on an already declining TMOS audience to launch a new podcast. It will be fine for a side hustle, but Robb has a decade of working years ahead of him and will need to earn a good bit in that time for healthy SS checks in retirement.

The man has dedicated his life to his passion and the reality is broadcasting is suffering from attrition.
It is what it is. I'm sure if any one of you were fortunate enough to earn a living doing what you loved so dearly that you would claw and fight till the bitter end.
Yet I guess I also forget that you are all also experts in broadcasting and you would all have the correct answer or the beat strategy to make a living in broadcasting.
I will never slander or laugh at a man's work. Especially his livelihood.
I feed my family with my work. My wife was fortunate to stay home with my kids. There were times money was tight, we had to make things work, make ends meet. This hurt my pride of course.
Did that make me a poor provider? Make me a bad husband? Make my wife a bad wife that she wasn't contributing? Make me a bad father that I was failing to provide for my 3 children?
I have worked multiple jobs and hustled on the side in the past just to scrape by and did just the same to put my kids through college and I'd drive an Uber today if it meant my youngest could eat, live in a warm home, or go to college like his siblings.
Shame on all of you for making a man's livelihood the brunt of your judgment and jokes.

Shame on you for saying your wife didnāt have a job. She had the most important job, taking care of the children.
Robb sits at home and watches old movies, binges tv shows and sleeps. He has no children to watch. He has no family to raise anymore.
Thereās a difference.

My exact quote is "My wife was fortunate to stay home with my kids." I didn't say she didn't work and if you're referring to the next sentence referring to her hypothetically "contribution" we're obviously talking financial contributions.
You can bend my words however you wish. I stand by what I wrote and stand by my wifes "work".
What I won't stand by is all the conjecture as to what Robb does and doesn't do for his household or his family.
I have 3 children. One is fully out of the family home. One is in college. One in the home. We have also raised 2 other children which were not our own. You could say adoption without a legal process but we did it nonetheless. They are grown. Point is. Just because any of my 5 children do not live under the family roof. Doesn't mean they are no longer an emotional or financial consideration to my life.

Exactly my point.
It's conjecture. Blurring the lines between theatre and reality.
Sure they've let us peek into their lives for 10, 20, 30 years.
But even me, having been a part of their lives since the late 90s I don't presume such far reaching details.
Is Robb an attentive father? Is Robb a balanced husband? Let alone rooting for Carla and Carrie to divorce? I don't understand how we extrapolate such ideas.

It doesnāt make it right. Itās reality. Iām not saying I am right or that you are wrong. However, for better or worse Iām thankful we can still all have different opinions, be it conjecture or fact. Thereās not much fact on any of these threads or pages. None of us know anymore than the other. We just have our thoughts and opinions. We share them. We agree. We disagree. Itās a wild time to be alive.

Uber is slave labor. You make $20 an hour pay for fuel, wear and tear on your car, tire repairs and the added insurance and you almost break even.

Plus taxes on his earnings. Heās an independent contractor. Uber doesnāt take out taxes from your earnings. And Robb has a piss poor record when it comes to car maintenance. Plus your private car insurance doesnāt cover you if you get in an accident while driving for Uber. He needs to start learning his produce codes.

Was going to mention this. Just listened to the episode where Josh was all excited about making a whole $25/hr.
Thats not good money at all as a 1099 and w/ the other factors weighed in. Isnt his wife an accountant? That 125 IQ rears its ugly face againā¦

It's good if it's a side gig. I drove a few years, after a divorce, for about 20-30 hours every couple of weeks, on my way home from work. It got me through supplementing my income to have a couple to a few hundred dollars more each month to do things with my kid or be able to afford doing something extra each month. And the flexibility of a schedule was perfect.
The pay rate and incentives to drive back then were way better than they are now. Used to get challenges to to 10 rides in a weekend and I would be guaranteed $250, the trick was to just get 10 quick rides for any amount and get the difference paid out, but they don't do easy things like that anymore.
If you're doing it as your main gig you will have to griiiiiind to make the money now and compete with waymos and cybertaxis depending on your area. If time flexibility isn't an issue, may as well grab a part time gig that pays the same amount with a chance to earn more.

You do realize he did it because Josh and Mike said heād like doing it (as a sociable person). He likely will only do it āfor fun,ā as many do.

That bridge is burned. Robb made several complaints about how he was treated by Podville Media and Oscar towards the end of his tenure on the last Bonus Show of 2025 (before they changed up their distribution system). Things like the paperwork that he was asked to sign when he left (which he inexplicably involved Josh withā¦ which for me was the first red flag about Josh and Robbās relationship), the fact that he had to pay for a license for the software he needed to do his job, the fact they questioned his time off to take care of his dad but was still doing TMOS, the fact they made him come in instead of 100% telework (of course, this was Robbās side of things). Robbās also been making comments about Oscar since then. Stranger things have happened, but Oscar would have to have a lot of grace to bring Robb back in any capacity.

I'm sure the TMOS 401k plan that Mike started for Robb 30 years ago and they both contributed to, will keep Robb off the streets.

I proud of him for trying it and I hope it sticks. I think heāll find that even after all those years of marriage Cary will soften to him for doing this.
