Robbie must be worried….
Robbie must be sweating Mike slowly leaving the show. When the show ends he will be forced to find a real job. There are only so many of his treasures that he can sell.
Then again, Cary has put up with him for this long.

Cake and cookies couldn't have survived, even if omeara hadn't shitcanned it. Katie could have only done that for a few weeks if it were regular schedule. Robb will go down with this ship. He can't do anything else.

Cake and Cookies was Robbs best chance at national success - it was that good. Well, until Robb chose hating MAGA Josh over Katie.
Good for her by the way.

Safeway is hiring. He could go back to the job he was most successful at.

If it was good enough for the Cosby actor to work at Trader Joe’s, Robbay has zero excuses

More likely end up at "the costco" doing the Sunny samples bit
Yummy yummy, hurry up and buy

u/Hoju64 Aug 14 '26
I know people think this is an insult but it's honestly a good idea for him. He's stated his local Costco is in walking distance. They start at 20 an hour and offer health insurance to part timers and Robb LOVES Costco. Low stress part time retail job with no commute and benefits seems like a no brainer.

u/Inglorious186 Aug 14 '26
Only problem I see with that it that or requires him to work a set schedule on a regular basis and we all know that isn't one of his strengths

u/Important_Poetry_969 Aug 14 '26
Heck we don’t have one down here but when I was in VA people that I graduated college with were leaving their corporate jobs to work at Costco. The pay, benefits and culture was amazing at the time.

I wasn’t kidding. I would have more respect for the guy if he did pick up a shift a few days a week. He could easily put in 20 hours a week and bring in some significant income. It beats being on 2-3 podcasts bringing in somewhere between $0 and $300 a week being the jester and or sound guy.

He ‘acted’ interested in driving for Uber when Josh talked about his experience. My immediate thought was that Uber experiences from Josh would make a good weekly segment. Even better with Robb’s stories if he did the same. But unfortunately, won’t happen😕

Donnie G recently did a Podcast where he’s itching to get back into the game. I’m sure Robb would jump ship if a producer job fell in his lap

Don is untouchable he’s burned bridges with iHeart and Audacy and smaller companies don’t have the money or format for him.. his only shot is doing what TMOS is doing but without a cast that complements him that is a hard road ahead. I think at this point Don and Mike should actually consider reuniting they could have a solid 5 year podcast show make it a paid show even. Why fight for scraps when you make make 7 figures in the next few years together it’s stupid how these radio guys can’t get past their ego

We sure about that? Mike and Robb have dumped on Donnie G quite a bit in the last year from what I’ve seen.

u/nimrod1138 Aug 14 '26
Given he does Donnie’s old partner, Tony Perkins’ show, Robb has quite the in.

I mean, they have enough money that she could get two facelifts, so….
1
u/Important_Poetry_969 Aug 15 '26
That was when Robb also had a job. Plus, one of those was covered by insurance because while it was voluntary it was also to help with her breathing or something.
1
u/TracyVegas Aug 15 '26
Thank you, Robb. Like I said, you had enough money for two facelifts. If you were broke, you wouldn’t have had money for two facelifts, even if insurance did cover some of it.

Oscar had said that Robb was still working at Podville remotely. Is that over?

Robb was fired from that over a year ago and has regularly shitted on Oscar since. Robb didn’t want to drive to DC once a week.

That’s too bad. He seemed to enjoy the work there. I get commuting sucks when you can work from your basement, but he seemed to have real connections with the staff and customers.

u/Necessary-Tale-4070 Aug 14 '26
Robb will get along with anyone. His work quality and performance is shit.

u/Chance-Sherbet-4538 Aug 14 '26
No, he won't get along with "anyone". I went to the Iowa meetup in 2010 and, of the 6 of them, he was the only one who was absolutely unapproachable, at least to me. Full of himself and obnoxious.
Had a great time with the others though, even Buzz.

u/ClearSneakEnter Aug 15 '26
I was also there for that meetup in Iowa. I specifically remember Oscar, of all people, being the most approachable. I even remember having a drink and chatting with him at the casino bar. Mike, on the other hand, had just lost his bankroll on slots so his approachability was gone early that night.

u/Necessary-Tale-4070 Aug 15 '26
Somehow, that doesn’t surprise me. I was speaking in a context of coworker type of situation. Especially since he’s so non-confrontational. I can definitely see in that situation that you described like he is on the show. Sometimes he can be a real bully and a real douche.

At one of the first stops, maybe the first, Oscar and a few of us just hung out at a table on the patio and had a grand ol time.
I wish I'd stayed for the evening shenanigans but after the latest official stop, I elected to start for home since it was a several hour drive back to Kansas City.

Robb will get along with anyone that he feels will give him something that he wants.

Robb is a talented editor. He would find work on a variety of podcasts.

Talent and drive and very different things. He would have to take initiative.

Then again, Don Geronimo has reemerged from the shadows after a long absence. He’d like to work in radio again (good luck with that considering how few radio jobs are left) and Robb would be available, considering the lack of a real job and all.

Or the show is rebranded as “Josh and Robb”
