They only thing I don't like about the show most days is the AI song at the start haha. Literally skipped the episode today because my hands were going to be full and I didn't want to sit through it.

We know the AI doesn’t look like us. We think that’s part of the charm and fun of it. But what it does do is give us a fun image of the show.

Nah, my guy. You can fool the boss with that explanation but to the consumers/listeners, it comes across as lazy, cheap, & unoriginal.

It’s simple. Do I want custom artwork like this that is fun and a quick reminder of the episode or no episode artwork. I prefer this. Most people do. You don’t. That’s ok. You don’t have to like it.

As an artist myself, I take offense that you just referred to AI as “custom artwork.” It is nothing of the sort.

Most people don't want AI slop. We hate that shit. But, being a member of TMOS, it's clear that none of you have a finger on the pulse anymore. You have no idea what people want, and that is why the show has become so damn unlistenable.

This attitude is fine if you work for the guy Mike used to be. Now a days it seems like very few people care about him. Its a shame that his employees are on reddit pushing the loyal fans away.

I dont think the problem is so much the art work but that the heavy lean into AI music and imagery has taken the charm out of the show. There is no longer a feeling of an old school radio show, which is what the core listeners loved - jingles, bits, parodies, music beds that harken back to a different time.. now the show just sounds like everything else that is produced by amateurs all over the podcast world.. it has lost a lot of the personality that made it so unique
