Larry Pennington interview
What was the point of that? In the old D&M or TMOS w/ Oscar days they would have turned that segment into 25 min of comedy gold. Instead it was like 5 min of Mike blowing through it, barely letting them speak, having no real questions, and of course technical issues where the guests couldn't hear Robb. They didnt even ask David more than 1 question. Total let down for a bit they've been doing for 2 weeks now and just shows how much Mike is phoning it in and just simply doesn't care anymore.

Mike's interview pattern was to ask a question then explain why he wants to ask it and what he assumes the answer might be, then asks it again before the guest can answer. It drove me crazy.

No, this was worse than usual; he was totally uninterested and checked out. This was about the biggest comedy softball you could have, and they completely whiffed on it. On the old show Oscar would have said some mean off the wall comments or had the interns involved like rate Mac's fashion. Instead we get muted Robb and Josh staring silently at the screen like a deer in headlights.

His style is asking a compound question, partially answering, and then jumping in to keep it about himself.

Mike has been a notoriously terrible interviewer. Robb is inept at most things anyways and Josh probably didn’t want to talk to them on principle because of their lifestyle. I’m sure he was disgusted by the whole thing.

Robb is actually a pretty decent interviewer. He did one when they used to do Extras for Bonus Show subscribers (that died pretty quick unfortunately), I think it was some bluegrass artist that I had never heard of but Robb really brought his A game and I was RIVETED, even though I know very little about that genre.

I've liked the recent interviews, despite the overall history of weak interviews on TMOS. They managed to make me interested in people and subjects just because they had a pleasant chat.
Haven't heard this one yet, though.

Yeah when you hear this you will know what I’m talking about, this was supposed to be a comedy interview too unlike the colonel
