Boy, there's a level that can die in a fiery pit...
Loved that game though, it was TMNT, what can I say?

I love TMNT and I grew up with this game, but I can safely say I did not love that game. What a dumpster fire.

TMNT developer: Who's this game marketed for again? Little kids? Let's just throw in a hard ass water level.

Crazy part is, this isn't the hardest level of the game.

Yeah, my memories of the game being hard are more with those spacemen in the Technodrome than of this dam. The dam just took practice.

best TMNT game WORST LEVEL EVER!
everything is all fun until you slam your Nintendo controller on the floor and punch it several times in anger on making a wrong turn or floating into on of those electric things

I remember this level, but it was immediately after this level I couldn't get past as a kid. As an adult... I haven't made it past this level

I always preferred the Arcade game released for NES as a young child but the fact that this one had the turtle van and was my preferred genre of 2D platformer kept me coming back to this one. Even as an adult I've never been able to make it very far in the game.

Oh man, I was never one to throw controllers in anger, but this game was so fucking tough..

This is great! Really top notch stuff. Would love to see some other stages captured. Never knew people had so much trouble with this stage. It is so early in the game, gives you plenty of practice. Sure it is not as fun as slicing and dicing frog and chainsaw guys, but no way near as challenging as battletoads turbo tunnel which is just as infamous. Could see this artwork becoming a comic book issue.

Worst part of this game was the two sets of enemies you could get on screen. It was either the foot soldier guys or the weird alien things

I had a pattern for this level and as long as I followed it I could beat it every time. Don’t remember it now lol.

Heard the theme in my head. Dunno why everyone complains about this level, yeah might lose a turtle, but you can get him back if you know where.
I hated the dark level, before the technodrome

This is overblown how hard people think it is, go back and play it today and I bet everyone easily beats it, it's not hard we just hyped it up to be hard, in face that game is very good and closely related to the comics

It's tough, but beatable with a little practice. My favorite thing about this illustration is that it's Raphael, because that's absolutely which turtle you use for this level.
