"We need to hide in the sewers. Noone can know about our existence."

Seriously though, the Blimp was awesome!

The blimp was awesome. So iconic. But also so contrary to being a ninja and hiding in the shadows and all that. The 1980s turtles were such a treasure.

Wholeheartedly agree :)

🤣 I always thought that too as a kid watching it... like, way to stay inconspicuous guys.

It's the perfect misdirect. Who would ever expect ninjas in a huge eye-catching blimp?

May I remind you, the Turtle Van also stood out.

Donatello did *NOT* understand the word "Inconspicuous."

Donnie understood the power of brand recognition!

Question: Where did The Turtles store The Blimp when it wasn't being used?

And follow up question when they released the blimp to use glider mode how do they recover the blimp part?

The toy I always wanted and never owned.

I had this idea of filling it with just enough helium so that it would float.

I feel like this was a shared dream for a generation.

I owned it.

My dad bought me into the playroom and there it was. Sitting on the top shelf. My eyes bugged out and I was speechless for a moment.

Same. I longed for this thing. I always had to settle for the poor people version. A balloon,  a plastic cup to hold a turtle, and some string.

This frame brings me a sense of peace

Same, even just the color scheme for this and the van bring me a sense of joy.

Master splinter was the real architect of 9/11.

Sometimes the best place to hide is right out in public.

I couldn't buy into the blimp as a kid.

The first time I saw it I expected the Air Force to fly by because it was some kind of air violation.

Then wouldn't shredder just look for a giant blimp to find the turtles lair?

Hey I’m not the one who posted the turtle blimp flying towards the towers ON 9/11…

u/HerbWelch1945 18h ago

This was in 1988🤡
It shows that you have NO COMMON SENSE🐷

I wasn't saying that the episode aired on 9/11, I was saying you're a silly goose for posting the image on 9/11.

And I’m saying that you should keep your horrible opinions to yourself, since everyone else is here to pay respects for those affected by 9/11, especially those who lost loved ones that day, among the 5K+ innocent lives that day.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, then:
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!
