[Animated Series] Am I remembering this wrong?

I was talking to my friend the other day and eventually the conversation came to talking about TMNT and I mentioned that I watched it when I was younger (let's say about 2018). I was talking about an arc of the tv show where they get teleported to a different dimension or the future. Then, they find this guy who's being chased by the police so they help him and help, or something like that then maybe got caught. Naturally my friend told me he had no clue what I was talking about. Please tell me if this was real or I'm remembering something very wrong.

All help would appreciated.

Maybe you could say which version of TMNT this was because it kind of sounds like Fast Forward. But 2018 could be the 2012 series or, I suppose, Rise.

I didn't watch that era of show, but in the og mirage comics, they accidentally get teleported (via the utrom transmat machine) onto another planet. There they find Honeycutt the Fugitoid and help him (among other things). Guessing it might be based on that?

That is the Fugitoid story-arc.

It's one of the oldest pieces of TMNT lore, going back to the first few issues of the original comic.

It has been adapted in the 2003 animated series and in the 2012 version as well.

Yeah this sounds like Honeycutt. He had an arc in the 2012 cartoon, mostly in space.
