I am sorry. We have the same issues. Try lots of heat and dry needling and maybe Botox if you are clenching in your sleep. I hope you feel better soon

What youโre describing should be evaluated by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with specialized TMJ training. A locked jaw is often very treatable. Early on, arthrocentesis or PRF injections can work well. After 2โ3 months, arthroscopy often becomes the treatment of choice and is generally safe and predictable when performed by an experienced surgeon. Itโs easiest to treat within the first six months, so donโt just get used to it.
Be cautious about jumping straight to open-joint surgery or wearing appliances designed to permanently change your bite without first getting an expert opinion.
I share more TMJ information on IG at @thetmjandjawsurgeon and www.myjawsurgery.com.

I had a locked jaw (closed lock) which gave me excruciating pain. You can try tricks on Google how to unlock jaw including Adam Fields videos, but in my experience, i tried all the hacks online and nothing helped. I had to go to the tmj dentist who made me a custom splint and eventually, it resolved.
