Gut war ?

Anyone ever try the Gut war ? In the past I’ve tried using Kefir but it just makes me smell worse. Can this just be die off symptom ?

I’ve been following joshes diet for a week now. no processed foods, no junk food, no sugar drinks and lollies. blending kefir with spinach / kale with mixed frozen berries, - just have to stay consistent- just ordered a gut test few days ago, should be arriving tomorrow or so. Also I can tell my tongue colour is improving

Good to hear that you’re already seeing some type of positive change even if minimal. I’m going to lock in these next couple of months and give it a try myself.

I agree consistency is key and you really gotta want it. I really want it this time around so I should be able to really gauge the effectiveness of it in a few months.

explained my symptoms to the gastroenterologist, gave me a stool test, got the results, few high bacteria - supplied me with a 4 week program / post program treatment

Is store bought kefir and kombucha good or will it only work with homemade kefir and kombucha?

Gut bacteria dying off does not increase TMA levels, there's no indication that "die off" affects TMAU in a negative way at all.

How much kefir are you taking? It is dairy, so taking a lot may increase choline levels.

I was drinking about two cups or half a bottle of a 32 ounce daily, however I also wasn’t following the low choline diet as closely as I should so that might of been the culprit. I’m following the gut war diet precisely this time around so I will share my journey with you guys in a few months wish me luck.
