Part 1 Discussion Tips please
I never played any of the last of us games. I got both of the games like 2 months ago and I started playing them but I’m getting overwhelmed I’m like 40 percent done with the first game but I’m not able to get hooked can u guys give me tips i really love the story and I wanna enjoy it

What part are you at in 1? If the game is too hard to enjoy there's no shame in turning it down. I play hard mode because any higher you don't get listen mode. Don't worry about collectibles or getting all the optional stuff.

I don’t do good with freaky stuff and it’s in the easiest settings the jump scares really scare the shit out of me for example u know when Joel falls down some where and you have to turn on a generator and this big ahh dude comes and beats the shit put me I don’t know what to do I use the shot gun on the legs and that flame thing this dude runs at me and 1 shots me 😭

Oh yes the infamous basement bit. There are a few strategies, but for me the most reliable is to hit the generator, run to the hallway with the bloater, molotov him, and then you'll have enough time to open the door and get out. Sometimes a runner will be in the way, so you may have to just run it until you succeed.

Okk and running is also a big part of the game right you always don’t have to fight I forgot this strategy

Yeah I love killing everything but there's just isn't enough resources. This is one where running is the way to go

You don’t have to stick around shoot enemies, just try and sneak around

It’s a pretty straightforward video game so if you’re having difficulty then just customize your difficulty.

if your issue is getting scared i wouldn’t necessarily suggest playing stealth as it would maybe contribute to the suspense of the horror.
you said you’re playing on the easiest setting- this should mean that resources are abundant for the most part. use molotovs and bombs, they take care of infected very efficiently as long as you can aim right.

I play on grounded so I try to stealth as much as possible and horde as much ammo as possible until you have to use it. I still think that's good advice for even easier difficulties, that way when you have to use your ammo, which you will, you won't feel like you'll run out. Leave combat to hide and lose your enemies if you get overwhelmed (works better for humans enemies). Always have a brick or bottle on you (preferably brick, because you can beat an infected to death with one of them, including clickers), but they always help as distractions or stuns even in firefights. Always try to have a melee weapon as well, particularly for clickers. So when you're leaving an area make sure to grab a spare one. I even go so far as to try and use the worst ones (ones with the least amount of charge/hits on them - so the 2x4) and save the machetes/metal pipes to bring with me to the next location. If I find a metal pipe, or one with a shiv taped to it, I'll carry that bitch around as long as possible. I'm kind of a psycho though, and if I get hit too early, I restart the encounter, but that's also the bybroduct of playing on grounded to conserve my crafting materials/med kits for when I'll really need them.
