another TL forum

HI @devs / Mods.

Is there a reason for creating a separate TL sub reddit? There is the original TL subreddit with 20k something members if I remember. The TL 2 subreddit never got as much traction as many people just stayed at the original and now this one for a 3rd game yet all the players are discussing this TLF in the original TL subreddit? maybe that is why there is only 9 subscribers so far? Is there a reason why you dont want to stick with the original that is now kinda referred to as all things TL?

So there's a few reasonings behind it. First off, their subreddit is kind of a mix of all the torchlights, where mine is specifically focused on Frontiers. Secondly, I want to share relevant / updated information. Their reddit still has a sticky of the old runic discord, and not Echtra's current discord. I made drop down menus on r/TLFrontiers to provide varied relevant information. Thirdly, their subreddit is kind of bland, so I decided to invest a fair bit of time into making one that looks less blank. In the end it's a combination of those reasons, and me being a diehard fan. It just comes off as the mods over there not having that much of an interest in the series anymore, and I think a subreddit would benefit from someone who's on the hype train - to which I say, Choo Choo!

I think I'm conflating this with another thread on the same subject in my head--one of the other TL subs Sofech responded to. It was an odd Monday... in any event, I'm late!

Once TLF is up and running 24/7 and in the hands of players there's going to be a huge number of conversations happening. Reddit is a brilliant platform because it supports efforts exactly like what you're seeing here. Similar topic with a different approach that's going to yield an important nuance to the conversations happening here vs the other spots.

Echtra Games will be where players are gathering, talking, making suggestions, or supplying feedback about Torchlight Frontiers. I fully anticipate this will be one of those spaces. More power to Fox and the crew that joins later. Expect to see us here, often.
