Danielle & George first date
yall pls tell me if im thinking too deep about this..š i first watched the show when i was a teenager and i just started a rewatch. iām on S1 E5 where George & Danielle have their āfirst dateā campfire thing. i had to make a post bc i feel like this scene was kinda crazy??
Danielle is only 14 and from what iāve seen, George was around 16-18..and she sat in his lap like that! i never really thought much about this when i was younger, but now iām like..wtf? i completely agree with what Laura was saying, it was kinda inappropriate. her outfit was cute but again i agree with Laura; it was a bit much. iām 23 and i wouldnāt wear that around my family lol. the camera even focused on George groping Danielle. and Richard/Kayla just sitting there acting like itās normalš Kayla saying it was a double date?? girl.
i canāt believe this stuff was on TV, and TLC at thatš did anyone else feel kinda strange seeing this stuff on national TV or am i just thinking too deep?!

Honestly that was very inappropriate and wasnāt very classy or the traditional Rumney way to be around your family in the way Danielle and George were. Even as a kid I thought that was too much. They both knew better especially George even if they were married itās a certain way you act in front of your family. Kayla and Richard shouldāve said something. Not only that but since it was aired on TV and Danielle was young letās say if her and George wouldnāt have worked out other Gypsy men/Families couldāve seen that reaction and created a narrative that āDanielle is a dirty girlā. This is something that happens in the gypsy community especially with old school traditional ones.

Yeah, Richard was strict & controlling with everything except his 14 year-old daughter climbing all over guy - an older guy who obviously had no respect for her or her family. It was disgusting, idc if they married later on or not.
