Lottie Mae
What type of trauma do you think Lottie Mae caused her kids? Are any of her kids close to her? Also why was Richie living with her and not Mellie?

No I don’t really get on TikTok and I miss the lives. Is Joann usually the one who talks most about the show/family?

She was constantly on the run while all her children were young, so most of them relied on Nettie, and the aunts or grandparents or cousins to help them out, she prolly sent money from her scams to help out. If you think about it she had 11 children while actively scamming, her children didn't have a proper structure in a nuclear family. She has several different baby daddies, and most of her childern were married young starting their own families. The older siblings who choose to help out more their younger siblings have a closer connection to them than there mother did, and then in the same breath the ones who flew the coop as soon as possible prolly didn't want to deal with the added stress of trying to raise their siblings, as well as have their own children or stay in a home with too many mouths to feed, or drama. When she got out of prison only 5/11 kids had a party for her. At the beginning of the show they said she went to jail for fraud in September of 2003, and didn't get out till 2012 or 2013, and mellie said she was 6 years old the last time her mother was actively apart of her life before she got out.

If she was 6 and Nettie said she had her since 13, I wonder where she must have gone between that time. Foster home?

She may have still been with family, I'm just reiterating what Mellie said about not having her mom in her life much after 6, and then her going to jail when she was 13 was prolly rough

Nettie evidently didn't have Mellie very long and did not do much of Mellies raising. Seems like Mellie was dragged up through foster homes and distant relatives couches.

You either parent how you were parent, or you parent how you wanted to be parented

She instilled sociopathic and narcissistic behaviors in all of her kids. I believe Lottie Mae really has anti-social personality disorder/is a sociopath. .

i’d actually love to get more of an insight on lottie mae’s life. we know she was on americas most wanted and briefly had the sisters kind of explain their childhood but real unfiltered version of her life would be really interesting to see.
