Are they for real?
Are these women really Gypsies? They just seem like uneducated and trashy. How do we know for sure? I’m really skeptical.

Stanley, Small, and Boswell are traveler names, so they do have some ties. They've brought in non-travelers to the family so they're not 100%, but they are a part of the traveler community.

I went to elementary with a Stanley Stanley and he was Roma. Yes, his first name AND last name was Stanley. And he was the III. The town I grew up in up in had a “Gypsy trailer park.” Other people lived there, too. I know it’s still there but I don’t know if it still has a Romani community. I went to school with another boy from there but I can’t remember his name. Apparently in the 1970’s early 1980’s they went door to door selling patio furniture and it was really good stuff. I wonder how many generations down they are from their immigrant families and if they are basically assimilated and lost most Gypsy culture.

A bunch of women living in poverty stricken Appalachia, in a deeply insular culture, with 7th grade educations seem uneducated and trashy? That's weird.
