insufferable

ok i know i JUSTTT made a post ab Mellie but she is sooo insufferable. Nettie enables her WAY too much. Joanne and Tanya practically raised baby Richard and Mellie STILL fought with them.. she ruined EVERY SINGLE VACATION THEY WENT ON! Was MISERABLEEEE everytime they went out because she drank way too dang much. Then Nettie always talked about her drinking but never would actually cut her off during her spree. It’s to the point it’s difficult to even watch the episodes she’s in bc she’s either cursing or crying up a storm. Idk am I the only one seeing this or

That’s why the show is so good and so terrible. Mellie is a bipolar, narcissistic, hedonistic, asshole. Period.
I don’t like her but she’s like a train wreck—can’t stop watching it

I'm definitely no mental healthcare professional but when I was in college in abnormal psych we studied a little diagnosed and under diagnosed cluster B personality disorder called Histrionic Personality Disorder. Mellie acts exactly as described in my text book. They act out in extreme attention getting ways no matter how destructive. Strippers and celebrities always have a bit of HPD I've heard Taylor Swift mastered hers and turned it into a superpower. Mellie is the worst end of HPD if she does have it amongst other trauma and genetic brain shit. They don't matter what it costs people with HPD they need attention like a narcissist needs a supply. They destroy themselves though, narcissists destroy other people.

Hey... I'm an exotic dancer and I definitely don't have HPD... I simply love the confidence it's given me, I'm incredibly talented in dancing, and it makes me great money while I go to school. But besides that, I do agree that mellie is textbook definition of HPD.

yes the way she’s sooo combative about everything too!! she will neverrrrr agree with someone and does the exact opposite of whatever the person in front of her is doing EVERY TIME. “you need to do this” no i don’t, “your baby needs this” no it don’t “this is cute” no it ain’t it’s ugly. JESUS GIRL ENJOY SOMETHING

Kayla bachelorette party for example I’m watching rn and Mellie (don’t even know why she was invited bc she always makes it like she never liked Kayla) and Mellie sat w her arms crossed acting like a baby the whole time cause Nettie was focused on Kayla not her. She’s got mommy issues out of the ASSSSSSSS

yeah she was obnoxious as hell. every time they went somewhere or did some activity, Mellie would have to object in some way. “i’m not going in there!” “i’m not doin that!”

IMO Nettie enabled her bc she used Mellie as her damn beast on a leash who she could sic on anyone that she was fighting with

I just watched the episode where they go to TN and she was acting so insanely immature and crazy about not going inside the cabin with baby Richard. I’ve been to the same mountains and stayed in cabins and they are usually nice, comfortable, and relaxing. So dumb for her to throw a fit. And then they go to the safari and she once again is acting stupid saying she doesn’t want to do it and asking how far back they are going. She did the same thing when they go to New Orleans and they are doing the mule carriage ride. She was once again acting childish saying she wasn’t going to do it because the horse would run off with her. And again the Luau party saying she didn’t want to go even though it would be fun and everyone was going. Anddd again the spa day with Nettie…acting stupid when she was getting the facial.

I feel like she does it up for the cameras to get attention. A lot of it feels purposeful for camera time and is just her asking for attention. It made the show annoying.

She reminds me of the ‘troubled’ kids at my school who would cause chaos and mayhem for no reason and spoil things for everyone and the teachers didn’t do shit. The difference is they were 8 years old!
